Chicago, IL – Donda’s House creative director Che “Rhymefest” Smith has shared a statement announcing that the Chicago non-profit will no longer be using the name of Kanye West’s late mother Dr. Donda West.

The decision comes after West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, went on a Twitter tirade aimed at her husband’s former songwriter on Saturday night (May 26).

In a statement posted to the Donda’s House, Inc. Twitter account, the organization explained, “Due to recent events that have occurred over the last 48 hours, we have decided to no longer use the name Donda’s House, Inc.

“This has been an incredibly difficult decision but the social media quotes from Kim Kardashian West, as well as the expressed interested of her family running the organization, has brought us to this decision.”
