San Diego, CA – Gun violence continues to plague the rap community. According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, 20-year-old aspiring rapper Yung Kece was fatally shot on Halloween (October 31) around 4 a.m. local time.
Yung Kece’s alleged killer, 18-year-old Israel Moreno Jr., called police shortly after the shooting and claimed he opened fire on the victim in self-defense.
Once officers arrived on the scene, they found Yung Kece on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital where he died.
Investigators later arrested Moreno, and he was arraigned on a murder charge in Chula Vista Superior Court on Wednesday (November 3).
Yung Kece’s rap career was just getting off the ground.
