NBA YoungBoy Names French Montana Among His Top 5 Rappers

NBA YoungBoy just shared a list of his top five favorite rappers, and French Montana surprisingly landed a spot amongst a group of other heavy hitters.

Last Friday (December 23), NBA YoungBoy shared another episode of his Never Broke Again Radio show on Amazon’s Amp platform, and he let fans know which top five artists are in his rotation.

“My top five rappers I’ll say Yeat, I’ll say [Young] Thug, I’ll say French Montana…Glizzy, I will say Shy Glizzy, yeah, the last one Soulja Slim,” he stated.

YoungBoy has worked with French Montana before, showing up on his song “So Real,” off his 2020 mixtape CB5. As for the rest of the artists on the list, the Louisiana rapper worked with everyone except for Soulja Slim, who passed away in November 2003.

Yeat joined forces with YoungBoy on “I Don’t Text Back” off his Hey Ma’ I Got A Family album. With Shy Glizzy, YB called on him for a guest feature on “Hard” on his 3800 Degrees project. With Young Thug, multiple records between the two have leaked, but none of them have been officially released to the public.

On another episode of his new show on Amp, YoungBoy also showed love to his artist Quando Rondo whom he said is a much better rapper than he is.

“It’s crazy, I don’t know,” YoungBoy said as someone revealed they love it when the two rap together. “The world be hating so bad, and I be keeping it so gangsta. Man, Quando rap way better than me, and them bitches be hating on my five. I don’t like that twisted ass shit.”

NBA’s comments on Rondo came after the two dropped their collaborative effort 3860 last month. The album has 16 tracks and one feature from Lul Timm, who allegedly killed King Von after the Chicago rapper and Rondo got into an altercation in November 2020.

As for French Montana, he’s fresh off celebrating Morocco’s historic run to the semi-finals in the 2022 World Cup. Despite the team’s cinderella story coming to a close after their 2-0 loss to France, French still held his head high to commemorate Morocco’s World Cup achievements on the pitch with an anthem named after the country.
