Meek Mill Flips Ice Spice’s ‘Munch’ Into New Freestyle

Meek Mill has released a new freestyle channeling Ice Spice‘s “Munch (Feelin’ U) — listen to a snippet below.

On Saturday (Oct. 29), Meek took to Instagram to share a clip of the freestyle over Spice‘s breakout drill track.

Continuing to show his admiration for the song, Meek posted another clip of himself on his IG stories listening to the freestyle while on board an airplane.

“He is a memberrrrrrrr,” he captioned in the second clip together along with with a zipper-mouth face emoji.

According to the debate on social media, fans are divided about the Philly MC’s attempt to reimagine “Munch.”

Meek is just the latest rapper to offer a freestyle over “Munch.” Back in September, Bay Area MC Symba dropped his version of the song where he seemed to be taking aim at some women in his life.

While Meek may have been having some fun with his freestyle, he doesn’t feel the same way about the compensation of recording artists in the music industry

On the first anniversary of the release of his Championships album ( October 1), he took time to reflect on the project and revealed some of the hard lessons he learned about the music business.

“1 year Anniversary to the last album idk how money I made off it or had no control over the overall plan and I only made 13% off it lol,” he wrote in the caption. “I’ma make 10m + off every album I drop from here on out.

“I was caught up in that slave shit that’s why I been taking long …… that shit still on this album! everything I do flames!” he continued. they don’t really promote music with morals in that system … now it’s my go now ima crack the code on getting paid for rapping! #Expensivepain.”

“Don’t show me plaques show me checks how much each song make ? shout to roc nation And @ninachanel pressed p on this,” he added.

Meek Mill Partners With WWE For Limited Edition ‘Dreams Vs. Nightmares’ Shirt

Although he takes issue with the politics of the music industry, Meek released new music back in September. His track “Early Mornings,” marked his first new music of 2022.

Also, Meek announced that he plans to celebrate the 10th-anniversary of Dreams Nightmares by performing the iconic title track at the wedding of a select couple in the month of October.

“If you get married in October … ima commit to performing dreams nightmares at a wedding for free for the 10 year Anniversary,” he tweeted.
