Rolling Loud Miami announced its 2022 lineup on Tuesday night (March 1), which includes headliners Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and Future.
Other performers on the bill are Playboi Carti, Lil Durk, Don Toliver, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, Three 6 Mafia, Saweetie, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, DaBaby, Gucci Mane, Lil Tjay, Ski Mask The Slump God, City Girls, Kevin Gates, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Baby Keem, $uicideboy$, Trippie Redd, Moneybagg Yo and A$AP Ferg, among others. The event takes place between July 22 and July 24 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida’s Miami Gardens.
But a well-timed tweet from the official Rolling Loud Twitter account really got Hip Hop fans riled up. On Wednesday (March 2), Rolling Loud tweeted, “Kendrick headlining Miami again means exactly what you think it means. It’s been 5 long years.” Fans quickly surmised the organizers were inferring he’s headlining because he’ll have a new album out.
But as the buzz started making its way across social media, the original tweets disappeared and was replaced by, “It’s been 5 long years since Kendrick headlined Rolling Loud Miami,” the exact number of years it’s been since DAMN.
It’s been 5 long years since Kendrick headlined Rolling Loud Miami 🙌

The last Rolling Loud Miami festival took place in July 2021 and was headlined by Travis Scott, Post Malone and A$AP Rocky, while the 2020 festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kendrick Lamar’s announcement for Rolling Loud Miami 2022 follows his February 13 performance at the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, surprise guest 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige. His latest festival appearance was at the Day N Vegas Festival in November 2021. Just three months prior, Kendrick announced his next album will be his final for Top Dawg Entertainment.
Kendrick Lamar Announces Next Album Will End TDE Career: ‘See You Soon Enough’
“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” Kendrick wrote in an Instagram post. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all. See you soon enough.”
