50 Cent has upset a local senator concerned the entertainment mogul is taking over the city of Shreveport. 

Shreveport, Louisiana, is home to the entertainment mogul’s G-Unit Studios Film and Television Studios. He also held the hugely successful Humor Harmony Festival in the city’s Red River District this summer.  

50 Cent has also poured millions into Shreveport as part of his three-phrase revitalization plan, making him the second-largest property owner in the region. 

In addition to purchasing commercial assets, 50 Cent has plans to regenerate the city and implement housing and youth programs.   

However, State Senator Sam Jenkin believes the city should “pump the brakes a little bit.” During an interview with Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate, Jenkin said, “Let’s try to see what else is out there.”  

Nonetheless, 50 Cent isn’t slowing down and recently bought up even more assets in Shreveport.  

“Sam Jenkins must not want things to turn around in Shreveport,” he wrote on Instagram. “Who would not do a deal to wait for a imaginary deal to come? Or maybe he just lacks faith in me, what you think ?” 

In a follow-up post, The “Many Men” hitmaker revealed he bought five properties in phase two of his plan.  

“It appears to be upsetting people,” he noted. “But I don’t understand why nothing was active.” 

50 Cent also referenced Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., saying he found the people in Shreveport “very peculiar!” 

Dr. King mentioned the city during his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech at the March on Washington in 1963 as one of the Southern cities where Black Americans faced segregation and systemic racism.

Cardi B and Offset have recently been at each other’s throats on social media, with several rounds of mudsling and insult-hurling playing out online. 

The former married couple appeared to have called a truce and partied at the same club during Offset’s 33rd birthday celebrations last weekend. 

However, a recently resurfaced audio, recorded shortly after the birthday bash, sheds light on where things went left.  

The clip features Cardi B screaming about Offset during a fiery X (Twitter) Spaces rant.  

The snippet begins with Cardi calling Offset a “b####,” denying she wants him back and blasting him for “trying to push this narrative.” 

According to Cardi B, she only entertained Offset to “spite” another man. 

“Happy as f### that I gave you attention for one day!” she added. “Now you’re trying to spin the narrative like I want to be with you, knowing that that’s not it. I gave you some time out of spite because another n#### p##### me the f### off.” 

She also referenced leaking their DMs, claiming she apologized to Offset but told him to leave her alone. 

“B#### I will violate right now,” she said. “This is why when your n#### get you mad, don’t go entertaining s### from the past just because somebody else get you mad. Because they can’t f###### wait.” 

Cardi B further alleged that Offset wants her to “crash out” to give the other men she’s involved with the impression that she’s still fixated on the father of her children. 

“F### you b####,” she fumed. “I will really violate and crash out for real. Stop. Leave me the f### alone.” 

She added, “I f###### hate you, I wish you’d die. That’s how much I f###### hate you, b####.”

JAY-Z took aim at high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee on Thursday (December 19) as their escalating legal feud took yet another sharp turn.

Buzbee, facing serious accusations from a woman identified only as “Jane Doe,” is now being called out by the rap mogul over claims tying Buzbee’s troubles to Roc Nation.

The attorney is embroiled in a lawsuit launched by Doe, who alleges Buzbee knowingly infected her with a sexually transmitted infection (STI) during their romantic relationship, which began in 2018.

According to the lawsuit, Doe claims Buzbee concealed his condition before initiating sexual contact during a trip to his hometown of Houston.

After experiencing symptoms, she says she confronted Buzbee, who allegedly apologized and asked her to keep the matter private, promising free legal assistance in exchange.

On top of the STI allegations, Jane Doe accuses Buzbee of engaging in abusive behavior, including an incident in New York where he allegedly injured her using a champagne flute.

JAY-Z pounced on Buzbee in a statement posted on Roc Nation’s Instagram account.

“Mr. 1800 said today that Roc Nation is criminally responsible for his legal woes with ex-clients/ex-lover who is accusing him of transmitting venereal diseases, assaulting, falsifying documents, and stealing client monies. No and no,” JAY-Z said. “God is behind that sunlight you keep referencing. We are not the source of every sunlight that you get but ROC sunshine is coming your way Mr. 1800. Shameful,” the post read.

Buzbee has denied all of Doe’s claims, calling them baseless and defamatory.

Buzbee notably represents a claimant who included JAY-Z in an amended lawsuit alleging sexual assault at a party in 2000, alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.

JAY-Z has vehemently denied the claim, describing it as both false and harmful, asserting the accusations are an attempt at extortion.

Buzbee has insisted that his legal warfare against JAY-Z and Combs is grounded in truth and justice, alleging there is a coordinated effort to smear his reputation with conspiracy theories.

“The smear campaign continues. Today I was sued yet again by a lawyer affiliated with the same lawyers I face in the Diddy litigation. The conspiracy to discredit me and intimidate me from pursing claims in the Diddy litigation has at this point, become criminal,” Tony Buzbee said.

“This latest case, like the others, is frivolous, laughable and ridiculous and will be dismissed like the others. It now seems that every other day there is another false claim filed, all of which are being ginned up by individuals working on behalf of or in concert with those ROC Nation and Diddy interests. This latest one is provably false with literally no factual basis or merit whatsoever. Prior to filing it the lawyer demanded $20 million from me, claiming that if I didn’t pay he would trash my reputation,” Tony Buzbee claimed.

Apparently, Michael Jackson’s biggest opp was none other than 2Pac.

In a recent interview for “The Untold,” a content series uncovering behind-the-scenes stories from the industry, comedian Tommy Too Smooth recounted an alleged altercation between the two legendary figures. The drama reportedly unfolded during a time when 2Pac was dating Kidada Jones, the daughter of late music legend Quincy Jones.

According to Tommy, the incident occurred when the couple attended an event where Michael Jackson was also present. The King of Pop, known for his close friendship with Quincy and his children, was reportedly disturbed by 2Pac’s treatment of Kidada that evening.

“2Pac comes out to party, disrespecting Kidada, like, ‘B#tch, shut up. Come the f#ck on. Shut the f#ck up and get in the car,’” Tommy Too Smooth recalled. “Mike stepped to him. ‘Yo, you can’t talk to her like that.’”

The situation quickly escalated when 2Pac reportedly dismissed Jackson’s intervention.

“He was like, ‘Mike, mind your f#cking business,’” he continued. “Mike was like, ‘F#ck no. That’s like my niece. You ain’t gonna just talk to her like that.’”

What followed, according to the comedian, was a substantial physical altercation between the two icons. But the outcome of the rumored bout is nearly as shocking as the story all together.

“Michael Jackson and f#cking Tupac start rumbling,” he said. “Michael Jackson beat his a#s. They said 2Pac loved to fight, but he can’t fight.”

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time the pair were rumored to have come to blows. Earlier this year, Los Angeles rap veteran Boo Kapone spoke about Jackson’s apparent gang affiliations in a live stream with the Figgmunity podcast.

Kapone alleged Jackson was an East Coast Crip and reportedly took fades with a number of artists, including 2Pac, during his time banging on the West Coast. During the lengthy stream, Kapone claimed that Jackson and 2Pac were involved in a squabble that he described as an unfair matchup from the start because the “Man In The Mirror” vocalist was 6’2″.

“Pac swing, Mike duck it, Mike give him a left, then Pac Karate kicked,” Kapone said recalling the fight. “Mike blocked the kick and they go to the ground squabbling. We come break it up, Mike got grass in his perm and Pac got [points to his head].”

He continued, “They shake hands and hugged squashed it, they say Mike beat him up but I say Pac swung first and Mike 6’2 he Joe Jackson son from Gary Indiana.”

DJ Jazzy Jeff is mourning the loss of DJ Gary O, another pioneering Philly artist.

Jeff shared the news via Instagram on Thursday (December 19) and lamented the number of friends/Hip-Hop legends who’ve died in recent years, including one of his best friends Biz Markie.

“You were MY OG…for 40 plus years,” he began. “You were there from my start…you traveled around the globe with me…Miami LA Dubai…you DJed my wedding…You were my FRIEND…
I lost Biz…Clark Kent now YOU…I’m crushed right now…Thank You GO for EVERYTHING…You will always be be LEGENDARY.”

Jazzy Jeff included several photos of Gary O, although he didn’t share a cause of death. In fact, that has yet to be disclosed anywhere.

Gary O was a prominent Philadelphia-based radio and club DJ with a career spanning over 43 years. He was instrumental in the success of Gotham, a renowned Philadelphia club, and was associated with WDAS FM, hosting events like the WDAS Live Saturday Night Dance Party at Harrah’s Casino in Chester. He was also known for his contributions to the Philadelphia music scene, opening doors and inspiring many in the industry.

As DJ Jazzy Jeff noted, the Hip-Hop community has suffered numerous deaths of some of its most beloved members. More recently, DJ Clark Kent lost his battle with colon cancer. A rumor he’d died went rampant on social media in October, but it turned out to be false.

But October 24, fellow New York City Hip-Hop vet Eric B. shared the news on Instagram, writing simply, “Rest in Peace.” He also verified it with AllHipHop via text, assuring us he got the information from Clark Kent’s family.

The family soon issued its own statement, writing, “IT IS WITH DEEP SADNESS THAT WE SHARE THE PASSING OF BELOVED RODOLFO A. FRANKLIN, KNOWN TO THE WORLD AS DJ CLARK KENT. CLARK PASSED AWAY THURSDAY EVENING SURROUNDED BY HIS WIFE KESHA DAUGHTER KABRIAH AND SON ANTONIO.”

Biz Markie, on the other hand, died in 2021 from stroke complications stemming from diabetes. The Juice Crew rapper had been struggling with his health for over a year. In July 2020, he was in a Maryland area hospital receiving treatment related to Type II diabetes. Friends of Biz started to worry when they hadn’t heard any updates for six months.

“He’s not doing great, but it’s not as scandalous as it felt in the beginning,” a source told me at the time. “Short story is Biz is diabetic, he had slipped into a diabetic coma, but that has happened to him in the past and it would only last a little while. He would go to the hospital, get discharged and get his meds under control. This particular time, he had a stroke while he was in the middle of the coma.”

Sadly, Biz didn’t make it and died at 57, a disturbing trend as of late. Many Hip-Hop artists aren’t living beyond 50 or 60, something that many feel needs to be addressed. That doesn’t even include the 20 and 30-somethings who are losing their lives to gun violence and overdoses. AllHipHop sends its condolences to Gary O’s friends and family.
