Meek Mill Faces Backlash Over Reaction To UnitedHealthcare CEO Shooting

Meek Mill is catching heat online after speaking out on the media coverage of the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and his suspected killer Luigi Mangione, who was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, earlier this week.

On Wednesday (December 12), Meek hopped on X to air out his frustrations over crime in Philadelphia and the difficulty of obtaining a gun license in his home city.

“In Pa we got cops investigating me questioning why am I buying guns!” he wrote. “I had 10 rap friends killed and couldn’t protect themselves! I’m working on my gun license help me not investigate my I’m not retarted ya know!”

He went on to say his attempts to launch a program to remove 1000 guns from the city were ignored despite gun violence being so prevalent he doesn’t feel comfortable hanging out in Philadelphia.

Meek Mill contrasted the widespread media coverage of the recent slaying of Brian Thompson with the lack of focus on the number of children dying from gun violence in his city.

“100 kids get murdered in my hood,” he added. “The press stuck on one CEO.”

However, the backlash stemmed from his follow-up post.

“Rip to that CEO too,” Meek Mill wrote. “His life matters too! Never over looking the life of a human unless they’re a danger to society and I don’t know anything about no healthcare ceos except “CINQCARE” because they are for us!!!!!”

Many social media users expressed anger in the wake of Thompson’s death, reflecting widespread frustration with the health insurance industry.

“The same Meek Mill who is an activist and preaches about fighting the system is the same one saying RIP to a healthcare insurance CEO who ruin people’s lives,” one user shared. “50 was right to call him a special type of stupid.”

“Every time I think Meek Mill can’t tweet something more stupid than the last,” another person stated. “He tweets the dumbest s### he’s ever tweeted.”

50 Cent teases Documentary On Unitedhealthcare CEO Shooter

Meanwhile, Meek Mill isn’t the only rapper reacting to the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s shooting, with 50 Cent being intrigued by the suspect. He took to social media to tease a potential documentary about Luigi Mangione.

“I don’t know, I kinda like this killer,” he captioned the since-deleted post. “I’m sorry this is going this way it is but I’m doing a documentary on him, he is special! I apologize in advance for anyone who doesn’t understand.”

Boosie Badazz Criticizes Joe Biden Over Tax Plan Trump Administration Previously Approved

Boosie Badazz has made headlines yet again, this time for his fiery criticism of President Joe Biden’s economic policies.

During a recent Instagram livestream, the outspoken rapper voiced his frustrations about taxes under the current administration, claiming they’ve hampered people’s ability to thrive financially. He contrasted this with the economic climate under Donald Trump, stating he plans to take his entrepreneurial ventures to the next level in January 2025, when Trump takes office for a second time.

Boosie began by describing his belief that financial struggles have hit people hard during Biden’s presidency.

“It seemed like when Biden was in office, people didn’t have money to support,” Boosie Badazz said, referring to his own ventures and general spending habits. “A lot of people just ain’t have it, bro. People… I mean, I ain’t take no losses, but people just ain’t have it.”

The Baton Rouge native then zeroed in on taxes, which he says have taken a significant toll on his earnings.

“Taxes are killing me, bro,” he said emphatically. “Every million dollars you pay, what, $350,000? If you spend $100,000, half of your money gone. Every $100,000, I owe you $360,000.”

Boosie went on to express disbelief at how the current tax system impacts both wealthy individuals and the middle class.

“Who does the money go to?” he questioned. “I mean, middle class still on their a**. Every million dollars, we’re down to $400,000. How is that fair to anybody in the world?”

Boosie Badazz concluded by questioning the sustainability of such policies: “How you gonna make money? How you gonna not be in debt? Whole world in debt, bro.”

Boosie hinted that Trump’s return to office might bring financial relief, aligning with his belief that the former president’s term offered better economic opportunities for entrepreneurs like himself.

While Boosie’s frustration is clear, it’s worth noting that his criticism of Biden over taxes may not be entirely accurate. The current tax structure stems from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act implemented during Trump’s administration, which largely benefits corporations and high-income earners while leaving some individuals, especially in higher-tax states, feeling squeezed. Many of the complaints Boosie voiced are tied to this legislation rather than new policies under Biden.

Despite the factual nuances, Boosie’s remarks reflect a broader sentiment among some voters who feel overburdened by taxes and eager for a change in leadership. Whether his entrepreneurial ambitions will flourish under another Trump term remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Boosie isn’t afraid to speak his mind on the nation’s economic challenges.

Meek Mill Admits Pennsylvania Legal System Is Wearing On Him Following Cousin’s Arrest

Meek Mill told his Twitter followers that he was experiencing mental anguish amid his cousin’s latest legal issues in his home state of Pennsylvania.

In a series of tweets he shared on Wednesday (December 11), Meek revealed his cousin was taken into custody over a warrant he had no knowledge of while attempting to make an appearance at a youth detention facility. To be specific, Meek is accusing Buck’s County of some shady practices, including pinning the warrant on his cousin over a minor offense.

“Bucks county crazy for putting warrant my cousin …” Meek wrote in the tweet. “Coulda just called or something we from pa he got a warrant put out on him with no notification of he was in trouble … I put in blood sweat and tears for the state! For entering a range we respect the law it not a fight.”

He then broke down the situation that led to his cousin’s apparent arrest.

“He just had to get cleared the youth study center to enter a jail …” he wrote. “He had a warrant since sept with nobody told anyone! Please do not bring that stuff to me and my family everyone around me been tryna grow from the system and the streets.”

In his final tweet, Meek Mill appeared to hint at being pushed to the bring of a mental breakdown over the weight of the incident.

“They already made him do 3 years flat state bid for a jail house weed case of 0.03 grams/NOT 3 grams WHILE WEED WAS LEGAL!” he exclaimed. “Damn near messing his mental up!”

Meek Mill became emotional last December, when he joined Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro for a bill signing ceremony to celebrate the passage of probation reform.

“We grew up in the streets,” Meek said at the event inside Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center. “We try to be better, but they labeled us ‘felons,’ sent us back to jail. I had to fight against that the whole time to gain my respect and be who I am today. And I’m proud of that.”

OG Maco On Life Support Following Apparent Suicide Attempt

(UPDATE) OG Maco is clinging to life at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, his day-to-day manager Poppa Perc confirms to AllHipHop.

First responders were called to the Atlanta rapper’s home on Thursday morning (December 12) after a neighbor heard a gunshot. Poppa Perc revealed he shot himself in the head in an apparent suicide attempt.

“I thought he was dead when I first saw him,” his manager tells us. “We were about rebrand and drop [new music] under a whole new alias. We need everyone’s prayers.” He grimly added, “But don’t get your hopes up. We don’t have too much information. They won’t even let us come to the hospital.”

Poppa Perc said OG Maco is currently on life support and doctors were doing everything they could to save him. This is a developing story.

Atlanta rapper OG Maco is alive according to his day-to-day manager Poppa Perc.

A rumor that Maco had died appeared to start on Thursday (December 12) with an Instagram post from DJ Tony Neal, who shared a photo of Maco with the caption, “No wonder why I didn’t hear back from you, baby bro @ogxmaco in Aug when u said you didn’t wanna do music no more, I thought it was goin’ thru a slump, but now I see .. it was bigger than that #TheRage.”

The comments were swift, with many expressing their disbelief. As Lex Luger wrote, “Naaa bro wtf! Same here. I was always trying to get bro to do some music cause he so talented! We would always talk about mental health and real n#### problems don’t tell me he gone.”

DJ Paul wrote in the comment section, “Love U Nephew! Wish I knew how bad you was hurting inside,” suggesting he took his own life.

DJ Paul soon posted a since-deleted Instagram reel of his own, writing, ” Love U Nephew! We wish people we love spoke out to us more about whats going on inside but a lot of times its hard for some because this world is so driven on ‘Impressions.’” But Poppa Perc replied, “Hit my dm rn I’m his manager he’s not dead.”

DJ Paul followed up with yet another since-deleted Instagram post about OG Maco. This time, he wrote in the comment section, “Still alive!” and said he was “praying” for him.

OG Maco (real name Maco Mattox) released his breakout hit, “U Guessed It,” in 2014. The track gained massive attention for its minimalist beat and Maco’s explosive delivery. It became a viral sensation, earning him a deal with Quality Control Music, the same label as Migos and Lil Yachty.

Over the years, OG Maco has released numerous mixtapes and projects showcasing his versatility, blending trap, punk and experimental sounds, but his career has faced several challenges. In 2016, he was involved in a severe car accident that left him with multiple injuries. A few years later, he revealed he had a rare skin disease (flesh-eating necrotizing fasciitis), which significantly affected his appearance and required extensive treatment.

In 2019, he opened up about his condition in a series of photos and videos on his Instagram Stories, which included the immense scabbing that covered most of his face and scalp.

“So much healing has a [sic] occurred thanks to God and my doctors that I’m willing to show all a fraction of what I’ve been going through,” Maco wrote over a photo. “I was improperly treated for a minor rash and ended up with a skin eating disease for the last few months. This is the best it’s looked. I hope it gives someone hope.”

OG Maco also revealed he’d been dealing with it alone, adding, “I’ve been going through this alone 90% of the time, without the support of the person I love, without most of my ‘friends,’ without anything but my own strength and God. Girlfriends/Lovers will leave you at your worst. Friendship is many times just a word. Actions are everything. Believe in those who show you actions worth believing in.”

Maco hasn’t posted anything on Instagram since November 2. AllHipHop has reached out to Poppa Perc in hope of some answers. This is a developing story.
