A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is back with a release date for his upcoming album The International Artist. The Bronx rapper’s follow-up to 2017’s The Bigger Artist is expected to arrive on June 20.

Ahead of the project’s release, A Boogie has shared the new single “Way Too Fly” featuring Davido. The concept for the album revolves around working with artists from all over the world, including Tory Lanez (Canada), Alkaline (Jamaica) and Kap G (Mexico).

The announcement follows the album’s first two singles — “Best Friends” featuring Tory Lanez and “Nonchalant” featuring Alkaline — as well as official remixes for Marshmello’s “Friends” and Maroon 5’s “Wait.”

Last year, A Boogie released “Drowning” featuring Kodak Black, which has since been certified 3x-platinum by the RIAA.

#DXCLUSIVE: Clemits Pays Homage To Austin In New "Selfish Summer" Video

HipHopDX Premiere: As Clemits inches closer to the release of his instrumental album, A Cult Classic, the Austin-based MC/producer has unleashed a video for “Selfish Summer.” The track serves as the third offering from the upcoming project and follow-up to “Gangster Jazz.”

“The beat has a guitar and vocal sample with a hard bass line and crisp drums,” Clemits explains to HipHopDX. “It gives you the feeling of a summer night. I felt like it paints the picture in your mind, like a film. To me, that film is about a summer night and smoking the highest grade marijuana in a beautiful location like Zilker Park.

“With the name A Cult Classic conjuring imagery from films, we felt a pressure to create a film for the album worthy of being considered a cult classic.

A Cult Classic is expected to arrive on July 24.

Akon Launches Cryptocurrency Amid Jokes About Fighting Donald Trump

The cryptocurrency wave continues to rage on in the music community with Akon’s announcement of Akoin, according to Page Six. Along with Akoin, Akon plans on building a city called Akon Crypto that which will be 100% crypto-based. He revealed these plans at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France.

Akoin, which will be available for sale within two weeks, is part of Akon’s plans to “empower youth entrepreneurship” and generate “opportunities to stimulate micro-exchanges and financial stability in Africa and beyond,” according to Akoin’s website. When asked about the technical aspects of the new crypto, Akon replied, “I come with the concepts and let the geeks figure it out.”

He continued to speak on the inspiration for Akoin with, “I think that blockchain and crypto could be the savior for Africa in many ways because it brings the power back to the people and brings the security back into the currency system and also allows the people to utilize it in ways where they can advance themselves and not allow government to do those things that are keeping them down.”

Akon Crypto City is already in development with its first 2,000 acres of land granted by the President of Senegal. The designated land is within five minutes of the new international airport and a short drive from Dakar, the capital of Senegal.

Akon also commented on running for office in America and wanting Kanye West to run in 2020: “It’s gonna be entertaining, it’s gonna be something worth watching. I’m going to go after Trump and Kanye will get offended because he likes Trump and he’s going to go after me. Then I’m going to go after Kanye and then Trump’s going to get offended because he likes Kanye and he’s going to go after me. And the debate stage will be set where it’s all about me. It’s perfect, a masterplan.”

He took it one step further and entertained the idea of physical combat with President Trump: “I’m not scared of him. I would invite him into the ring. You know what? Matter of fact, let’s just go in the ring, Pay-Per-View… you guys can decide whether it’s gonna be a boxing match or MMA. Someone’s got to defeat the bully.”

Akoin and Akon Crypto City follow Akon’s work in Africa to bring sustainable energy with his Akon Lighting Africa project.

Other artists who have their own crypto include Ghostface Killah’s Cream Capitol, Nipsey Hussle’s Follow Coin, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s DirtyCoin.
