Donald Glover Is Taking Over "Saturday Night Live" (For One Episode)

New York, NY – Donald Glover keeps adding more to his workload. The versatile entertainer has been booked as the host and musical guest for the May 5 episode of Saturday Night Live.

SNL revealed the news during its April 14 episode, which was hosted by comedian John Mulaney. The long-running series also shared the information on Twitter, displaying Glover and his alter ego Childish Gambino on a bulletin board.

Glover’s upcoming booking will be his first time appearing on the iconic sketch show in any capacity. He’ll also be joining a rare group of celebrities to handle hosting and musical guest duties on the same episode of SNL. Drake, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Ray Charles and Britney Spears are among the other performers who’ve done both.

The Atlanta creator insists he’ll be retiring his Childish Gambino moniker soon, so this may be the first and last time for fans to see this incarnation of Glover on SNL.

Kanye West Mocks Nike In Brief Return To Twitter

Kanye West, who is firmly entrenched at Adidas with his Yeezy brand, briefly ended his Twitter hiatus to fire a shot at Nike. ‘Ye took aim at Nike’s M2K Monarch, insinuating the design was jacking his Yeezy 700 sneaker.

“Yeezy 700 Vibes,” he tweeted along with the facepalm and laughing emojis.

Kanye West hopped back on Twitter for a second to tweet this.

West’s return to Twitter didn’t last for long as he quickly deleted the tweet. He did leave up a retweet from Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, who welcomed ‘Ye back to the social media platform.

Last May, West deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts. In February, he hopped back on Instagram for the first time in months to share Valentine’s Day message for his wife, Kim Kardsahian-West. But he deleted the post soon after, just like he did with his Nike jab on Twitter.

West has largely remained out of the public eye while reportedly working on a new album. Despite keeping low profile as of late, he recently conducted an interview with his interior designer Axel Vervoordt for The Hollywood Reporter.

Nicki Minaj candidly opened up about her relationship with Cardi B and what happened with her original verse for Migos’ single “MotorSport” during an interview with Zane Lowe. Nearly in tears, Minaj expresses how hurt she was over having to take Cardi B’s name out of her original verse for the Culture II cut and how it affected her relationship with Quavo.

She has since forgiven Quavo for not having her back, and their relationship seems to be good once again. First, she posted a Snapchat of her and Quavo at the studio. Then, the two were spotted in various pictures together at Coachella 2018.

In addition to the revealing interview, Minaj also unleashed her two new singles “Chun-Li” and “Barbie Tingz” this week.

Despite securing Billboard Hot 100 hits and Grammy nominations, Cardi isn’t necessarily concerned with being called the “Queen of Rap” though. She just wants to make good music, as she explained in recent interview.

Nicki Minaj Goes Full Selfie Mode For New "Chun-Li" Video

New York, NY – Nicki Minaj has returned with a video for “Chun-Li,” one of two new singles she dropped earlier this week. The bulk of the visual is shot by Minaj in vertical selfie mode.

Dressed in black leather and fishnets, she spits, “They need rappers like me/ So they can get on their fucking keyboards/ And make me the bad guy, Chun-Li.”

The self-proclaimed Queen of Rap revealed the single alongside “Barbie Tingz” on Thursday (April 12), marking her first new solo material of 2018.

(The last update on this article was published on April 12, 2018 and can be found below.)

Nicki Minaj has finally resurfaced with two new singles — “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li.” After teasing fans with a handful of cryptic tweets, Minaj revealed new music was on its way earlier this week, causing an uproar on social media.

Black Barbie hit the Beats 1 Radio studios on Thursday (April 12) to discuss her return with Zane Lowe. During the interview, Minaj talked about why she disappeared from social media for the past few months.

“I needed to focus on my album,” she told Lowe. “This is the best album in my life I’ve ever ever created. I needed to focus and I wanted to write something meaningful to me that would inspire and captivate my audience. More importantly, I wanted to have fun again without giving a shit. I didn’t want to see anything. I wasn’t only not posting. I also took all social media off my phone. It was the most genius decision I ever made. It gave me peace and put my focus back on what it needed to be on — the music. ”

Minaj also talked about how it’s necessary to “deactivate from the matrix.”

“I was like, ‘Why am I including this information in my spirit,” she said. “I don’t need to know what people are saying about me … music has become much more than music. It’s become a lot of shenanigans. I can rap. At the end of the day, I can rap. I don’t know about anybody else but I rap. That’s what I do.”

Later in the conversation, she touched on her tumultuous relationship with Drake (who she called the “Golden Boy”).

“Drake is always mad at me,” she said. “We’re like an old married couple. It’s so stupid. But you know what, on the real, Drake also has given me some of the best advice of my career. He’s given me some great advice. He’s very smart. You can’t take that away from him. Also, even when there were things happening, even when I couldn’t speak to him, I think he felt the love I will always have for him.”

She then talked about ex Meek Mill and his current situation.

“I don’t want to talk about legal things but I will say, every now and then … I won’t go there. I will save some of those things for my album. What I will say now is the judge in question did everything I asked of her. I can’t badmouth her because I met her personally. I know what she said to us. He knows. I wouldn’t wish jail on anybody. ”

After tantalizing fans with a few cryptic tweets, Nicki Minaj has put an end to the speculation. On Tuesday (April 10), Black Barbie posted the covers of what appear to be two new singles — “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li.”

According to the caption, both songs will arrive at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST “everywhere.”

Although the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap hasn’t put out a new album since 2014’s The Pinkprint, she’s popped up on multiple singles, including Migos’ “Motorsport” and Yo Gotti’s “Rake It Up.”

Her latest stunt is reminiscent of the #3PackFromParis maneuver she pulled last March, which featured the diss-heavy “No Frauds” with Lil Wayne and Drake.

It’s possible the countdown ended early because the cover art was leaked on a French website and Minaj was forced to announce the news.

(The original version of this article was published on April 10, 2018 at 9:48 a.m. PST and can be found below.)

Following months of silence, Nicki Minaj emerged on social media seemingly out of nowhere on Sunday (April 8).

The self-proclaimed Queen of Rap pulled a tweet-and-delete with a simple, “4,” leading to widespread speculation she had something on the way. The following day, she doubled down with another cryptic tweet, this time with the number 3. Both tweets were quickly deleted.

Then, Young Thug poured fuel on the fire with a tweet. On Monday night (April 9), the Jeffery rapper followed Minaj’s lead with a “3” tweet of his own. Many are concluding this means a possible collaboration between the two, although Thug also has a song called “Three” with Future.

If Minaj is plotting her return on Friday (April 13), she has an army of people drooling at the thought. Social media has exploded with excitement over the past 24 hours.

Whatever the case, Black Barbie has “liked” a handful of her fans’ anticipatory tweets.

Check out those below.

Offset Is Fuming On Twitter & Everyone Has Theories

Twitter – Offset used his Twitter fingers on Friday (April 13) to go off on someone with a series of angry posts and fans are scrambling to figure out what (and/or who) he’s mad about.

“I see u niggas dick riding too,” he began. “Yal niggas need to worry bout HITS PUT SUM OUT. And you niggas don’t want smoke keeping talking shit in the studios.”

Theory #1

Private text messages between Offset and Cardi B were allegedly exposed online earlier this week. During the exchange, Cardi says she’s going to beat up Nicki Minaj over the “MotorSport” drama. Minaj addressed the Migos single — featuring Cardi and Minaj —  during her interview with Beats 1 Radio on Thursday (April 12).

The site responsible for the alleged leak had its Twitter account suspended shortly after releasing the text messages, leading many to conclude they did belong to Offset and Cardi.

Fans think Offset is pissed because Cardi got caught bashing the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap.

Theory #2

The second theory has to do with Bay Area rap group SOB x RBE who recently said “Fuck the Migos” during a concert at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California.

“You can tell the Migos we the hottest group in the game,” Yhung T.O. declared before getting more antagonistic. “Fuck the Migos!”

Theory #3

This one has to do with “MotorSport” once again but it’s more specifically about Minaj’s original verse, which contained the line, “If Cardi B the QB/ I’m Nick Lombardi.” As Minaj explained in the Beats 1 Radio interview, she was told to remove Cardi’s name by Atlantic Records allegedly at the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s request.

Some fans believe Offset is fuming because Minaj outshined everyone else on the track.

Theory #4

Some thought his rage was aimed at Future after the HNDRXX rapper appeared to be standing up for Minaj in a subtweet but Offset quickly quieted that rumor.

“MY TWEET AINT @1future,” he wrote. “WE GOOD.”

Prior to Offset’s shut down, Twitter was convinced the two super rappers were feuding.

Theory #5

The fifth theory involves London On Da Track’s joint “No Flag” featuring Offset, 21 Savage and Minaj. On the song, Minaj raps, “Lil’ bitch I heard these labels tryna make another me/ Everything you getting little hoe is cause of me,” which some perceived as a Cardi diss.

But shortly after the song’s August 2017 release, Black Barbie took to Twitter to deny it had anything to do with her.

Whatever Offset’s upset about, Twitter is here for it.

Check out more of their reactions below.
