Daz Dillinger Gets Pulled Over By Cops & Blames Kanye West & Kris Jenner

Los Angeles, CA – There were bound to be consequences for Daz Dillinger’s open Crip call threats to Kanye West.

And on Tuesday (May 1), Tha Dogg Pound veteran saw firsthand the increased visibility he’s brought upon himself.

“Muthafuckin’ police just stopped me … asked me about this Kanye West shit,” Daz reported on Instagram from an undisclosed Los Angeles location. “Look how many muthafuckin’ police it is,” he continued, zooming on a swarm of cop cars on the block.

At the end of April, Daz called for all Crips to bumrush Kanye on first sight, prompting West to file a restraining order for assured protection.

Daz took the news in jest, proclaiming he was going to frame and hang the document in his recording studio. And he displayed the same cheeky attitude as he got out of the vicinity of the cops who blew his spot up.

“But luckily, I’m blessed. I ain’t got shit on me so ‘fuck you.’ I handle business,” he declared as he focused his camera phone on a 2Pac hat he was rocking at the time of the police stop.

“Let the smashin’ and the Dashin’ begin — The Dashians,” he quipped. “Kris [Jenner] did you call the police on me? I’m out of here, fuck y’all,” he concluded.

And if you figure all these cops and legal paperwork is making Daz rethink his Kanye approach, you’re having wild thoughts.

The OG just announced his new self-produced single titled, “F K U #FUCKANYEUP.”

Cavs’ Kendrick Perkins To Drake: "Sit Your Ass Down & Watch The Game"

Toronto, Canada – There was a little more action on the court than expected during Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals on Tuesday night (May 1) when the Toronto Raptors took on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Drake, who is a courtside regular at the Air Canada Centre and the Raptors’ team ambassador, evidently exchanged a few words with veteran Cav Kendrick Perkins twice  — once at the end of the first half and again after the game.

In a video posted to Twitter, Drake appears agitated as he confronts Perkins. As Perkins walks off, the “Nice For What” artist continues shouting at him.

For round two, Perkins and Drake again start yelling at each other, and Dreezy can be heard saying, “I never said that. I never said that.”

According to a tweet from EPSN staff writer Dave McMenamin, “Kendrick Perkins on the Drake confrontation: ‘I was f—ing with Serge (Ibaka), my old teammate’ Perkins said after the game. ‘I wasn’t talking to (Drake). He said something slick so I said something back: ‘Sit your ass down and watch the game.’”

Thanks in part to LeBron’s triple double — 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds — the Cavs walked away with a 113-112 victory during overtime.

GZA Recalls “Liquid Swords” Origins During NPR “Tiny Desk Concert”

Washington, D.C. – Backed by The Soul Rebels, founding Wu-Tang member GZA‘s “Tiny Desk Concert” was a slice of nostalgia for fans of the Clan’s most verbose MC.

Sticking to his classic platinum-selling sophomore LP, Liquid Swords, he performed “Living In The World Today,” “Duel Of The Iron Mic,” and the title-track.

After the funky intro to the final song of the set, “Liquid Swords,” GZA momentarily forgot his verse. ”See, sometimes you forget your own verse,” GZA said to the crowd, garnering laughter. As the song was coming to an end, he noted “this was a song recorded on Staten Island,” before beginning to tell the story of the song’s inception.

“I was with RZA and Masta Killa … we were drinking 40s, there was a little smoke in the air, and were playing chess — strategizing,” he said. RZA then proceeded to play him the instrumental, suggesting that he use a routine that he used to do back in the day.

GZA went on to explain that routine — which at this point was a decade old — was the chorus of the infamous title-track, before jumping back into the song to close out the performance.

During a recent interview with TimeOut Miami, RZA said that the album — and its follow up — were deserving of a Pulitzer in wake of Kendrikc Lamar’s historic honor.

“When I go back and see some of the lyrics that GZA wrote on Liquid Swords, and Beneath the Surface, some of the writing he did was well-deserving,” RZA was quoted saying. “Everything he did to me was at a genius level of writing.”
