Beyoncé’s Coachella Performance Reportedly Set YouTube Livestreaming Record

Indio, CA – Leave it to Beyoncé. The pop singer’s Coachella performance over the weekend has reportedly set a YouTube livestreaming record.

According to TMZ, her Saturday (April 14) set generated 458,000 simultaneous viewers — the most ever for a single Coachella performance since YouTube began streaming the Indio, California festival in 2010.

That’s also 75 percent higher than Lady Gaga’s streaming numbers from last year.

With the help of fellow headliners The Weeknd, Eminem and Migos, YouTube generated 43.1 million livestream views in 232 countries, making it the most-viewed live music festival in YouTube’s history.

Beyoncé’s reunion with fellow Destiny’s Child members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland couldn’t have hurt either.

Though the Lemonade artist’s performance set the bar for Coachella’s YouTube livestreams, other videos have performed significantly better overall. For example, in April 2017, more than 1.2 million viewers simultaneously watched a baby giraffe’s birth, marking one of the platform’s most viewed livestreams ever.

Reports of Destiny’s Child reunion came true during Beyoncé’s widely acclaimed performance at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music Arts Festival on Saturday night (April 14). The pop music powerhouse teamed up with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, reuniting in concert for the first time since 2013.

Naturally, Twitter has been overflowing with Beyhive members in euphoria over the reunion. Some fans are already calling for the trio to tour.

Destiny’s Child is reportedly reuniting at Coachella Valley Music Arts Festival in Indio, California on Saturday night (April 14).

According to Page Six, an inside source said, “Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child are reuniting. It was teased, rumored, squashed, so nothing much else was said … But it’s happening.”

The source also added, “[It’s] to make up for the fact she was unable to perform last year [when pregnant]. The girls really wanted it and felt they owed it to the fans.”

Destiny’s Child — Beyoncé, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland — formally disbanded in 2006 after they wrapped up the Destiny Fulfilled… and Lovin’ It Tour.

Formed in 1997, the RB trio released five albums, culminating with 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled. 

The group’s third album, 2001’s Survivor, spawned the massive singles”Independent Women,” Survivor” and “Bootylicious.”

In 2013, Destiny’s Child reunited for Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Coachella’s organizers have confirmed fans are able to livestream Beyoncé’s headlining performance on YouTube. The Lemonade singer hits the stage at 11:10 p.m. PST on Channel 1 of the YouTube streams.

Post Malone Shares “Beerbongs & Bentleys” Tracklist

Nashville, TN – Post Malone has shared more info about his upcoming Beerbongs Bentleys album. Along with the album’s pre-order information comes a tracklist with some big features, including Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, Swae Lee and YG. Guest spots from 21 Savage and Ty Dolla $ign had already been revealed through previous singles “rockstar” and “Psycho,” respectively.

The 18-track album is scheduled for release on April 29.

Post Malone hit Twitter late on Wednesday night (April 4) to announce the release date for his sophomore studio album, Beerbongs Bentleys.

The long-awaited LP will arrive on April 27.

The announcement came a short while after Malone hit the stage in Nashville on Wednesday evening as part of his Bud Light Dive Bar Tour.

During his set — which was live streamed across Facebook and Twitter — Malone performed his new single “Stay” for the first time.

“This is my first time fucking playing this song by the way,” Malone told the crowd. “And I know for a fact that I’m gonna fuck it up, but we’re gonna figure it out anyway.”

Bud Light offered an exclusive preview of the track prior to his live performance.

“Stay” comes around six weeks after Malone released “Psycho,” which features Ty Dolla $ign. Based on the success of that single, and the smash hit that was “Rockstar,” the project is already eligible for a gold certification.

Stoney, Malone’s 2016 debut album, has continued to experience success on the charts too. The LP — which features Justin Bieber, Kehlani, and Quavo — currently sits at #7 on the Billboard 200 after 68 weeks.

Cops Investigating Claim R. Kelly Knowingly Gave Woman Herpes

Texas police are looking into the claims of a new accuser who has come forward to speak out against embattled RB star R. Kelly, according to the Dallas Morning News. The woman claims the singer infected her with herpes without first warning her about it.

Police aren’t investigating the incident as a sexual assault since the relationship was reportedly consensual, however in Texas, a person who gives someone an STD without first telling them about it can be charged with assault.

According to a statement obtained by The Washington Post from the woman’s lawyer, her relationship with Kelly started when she was 19 and lasted from last June to February. She claims that she was infected with the STD in December in Dallas, Texas while the singer was in the city for a concert.

The woman has filed a complaint with the Dallas Police Department and is preparing to file a federal civil complaint against Kelly.

The statement also alleges that she was being groomed for Kelly’s “sex cult.”

“Kelly gradually introduced the cult to our client over the course of their relationship culminating with an explanation that she would have to sign a contract and offer collateral information about herself and her family for Kelly’s protection,” the lawyer’s statement reads.

The statement alleges that “our client was the victim of several forms of criminal misconduct by Kelly, ­including, but not limited to, unlawful restraint, furnishing alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor, and aggravated assault (via the referenced intentional STD infection).”

Earlier this year, the accuser in this new case reached out to the parents of Jocelyn Savage, the 22-year-old who moved in with Kelly in 2016, to let them know that she spent time with their daughter.

Jocelyn’s father Timothy Savage said he then asked the woman if she had a sexual relationship with Kelly and if she had been tested.

“Other girls have said it to us but they weren’t willing to speak up,” Savage said while speaking to The Washington Post. “We need a witness to speak up. I hope this opens up some answers. We felt from the beginning that the reason he’s holding the girls is he has some kind of STD that he couldn’t cure.”

In regards to this latest accusation, a rep for Kelly informed The Washington Post that he “categorically denies all claims and allegations.”

Kendrick Lamar & TDE Roster Train For Championship Tour In Hilarious Promo

Top Dawg Entertainment has shared a comical trailer for The Championship Tour, which is scheduled to begin May 4. The Lyft-sponsored promo starts with a humorous skit of Kendrick Lamar and the TDE roster attempting to play golf and tennis, then continues with footage of them lifting weights, running and more.

Isaiah Rashad, who was missing from the original tour announcement, is present in the video. TDE president Dave Free directed the promo along with Jack Bergert.

Since first announcing the tour in January, TDE has been all over the headlines. The label was behind the soundtrack of hit film Black Panther. Meanwhile, Lamar’s DAMN. won a Pulitzer Prize this week. And over the weekend, SZA, performed at the 2018 Coachella Festiva. During her set, she brought out labelmates K. Dot and Rashad.

The TDE crew kicks things off on May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia and will cover over 25 dates before wrapping up on June 16 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Lauryn Hill Announces Dates For "Miseducation" 20th Anniversary Tour

Lauryn Hill is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her debut album, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, by heading out on tour. The enigmatic singer will hit the road in July for 27 shows, which are scheduled to wrap up in October.

“This album chronicled an intimate piece of my young existence,” Hill said in a press release. “It was the summation of most, if not all, of my most hopeful and positive emotions experienced to that date. I Loved and believed deeply in my community’s ability to both Love and heal itself provided it received the right amount of support and encouragement. Our world today, both complex and changing, is in need of the balance between moral fortitude and cathartic expression. I hope the Love and energy that permeated this work can continue to inspire change with Love and optimism at the helm.”
