Kanye West’s "Yeezy Season 6" Model Arrested For $20K Bill On Dead Man’s Debit Card

New York, NY – One of Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 6 models was arrested for wire fraud, access device fraud and aggravated identity theft on Wednesday (July 11), according to The Blast.

Shannade Clermont, known as one of the “Clermont Twins,” allegedly stole a man’s debit card information before leaving a paid date at his Manhattan apartment in January 2017, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

The man was found dead from a cocaine and fentanyl overdose the following day.

Clermont, a former cast member of The Bad Girls Club reality show, allegedly racked up $20,000 on the deceased man’s debit card, paying her rent and phone bill, purchasing plane tickets and thousands of dollars of clothing and other merchandise.

The man’s identity hasn’t been released, and it’s unclear if Clermont was aware that he was deceased. She isn’t being charged in his death.

Denzel Curry Announces "TA13OO" Album & Drops "Clout Cobain" Video For Coulrophobics

Denzel Curry hasn’t released an album since 2016’s Imperial but that’s all about to change.

On Wednesday (July 11), the Florida-bred rapper announced his upcoming album TA13OO (Taboo) and unveiled a trippy black-and-white video for “Clout Cobain.”

The 13-track project will be released in three different “acts” beginning on July 25 and culminating on July 27. Features include J.I.D, GoldLink, Nyjeria, Zillakami and JPGMAFIA.

Curry teased a clip of the “Clout Cobain” video via Instagram early Wednesday. Directed by Zev Deans, it pits Curry in the middle of a demented “Clout Circus,” where drug addicts run rampant.

The concept, developed by Curry and Mark Maturah, intends to illustrate some of the issues artists struggle with. From being under constant pressure to entertain to having to follow trends to hold on to “clout,” he juxtaposes both the good and bad of “celebrity.” The end of the video comes with a shocking surprise.

From Snoop Dogg To Jordan Peele, People Love Boots Riley’s "Sorry To Bother You" Film

Boots Riley, frontman of The Coup, made his directorial film debut with the dark comedy Sorry To Bother You. The movie was released on July 6 and has collected rave reviews from not only numerous critics but also his peers.

Starring Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Patton Oswald and Danny Glover (among others), the film centers around Stanfield’s character, Cassius, who works at an Oakland call center.

Only until he is taught to adopt a “white voice” when cold-calling people does the struggling Oaklander find success as a telemarketer — but it comes at a high price. During the process, Cassius begins to sacrifice his morals as he climb the corporate ladder.

Even before the film’s release, Riley was being heralded as the next breakout director. He recently got a monster cosign from Get Out director Jordan Peele.

“@BootsRiley is being compared to many great directors, but the truth is he’s a one-of-a-kind unique voice,” Peele tweeted last week. “Fun, brilliant and totally different than anything ever.”

Riley also plans on releasing a soundtrack for Sorry To Bother You, which will be orchestrated by The Coup. In a tweet at the top of the month, Riley revealed features will include artists such as Janelle Monáe, Killer Mike and E-40.

N.E.R.D, Snoop Dogg, Pharrell, Questlove, G-Eazy and Atmosphere are just a handful of high profile artists praising the film.

Check out their reactions below.

Cut Chemist Reveals Behind-The-Scenes Video For "Die Cut" Album

Los Angeles, CA – Cut Chemist delivered his first solo album in 12 years, Die Cut, in March. Now, the Jurassic 5 turntablist is back with a behind-the-scenes video to show fans what went into making the project.

The nearly three-minute clip features Mr. Lif and Edan, who both appear on the album.

The video follows “Moonlightin’” with Biz Markie and “Plane Jane.”

Check out the BTS visual below.

Jurassic 5 turntablist Cut Chemist is back with his first solo album since 2006’s The Audience’s Listening. Titled Die Cut, the 17-track project features guest appearances from fellow J5 member Chali 2na, Biz Markie, Mr. Lif and Freestyle Fellowship’s Myka 9, among others.

Prior to the release, the Los Angeles-bred artist shared the lead single “Work My Mind” featuring Chali 2na and Hymnal, and followed up with  “Metalstorm” featuring Mr. Lif and Edan.

Aside from his impeccable scratches, the talented DJ/musician also flexes his guitar-playing skills on songs like “Plane Jane.”

The intricately layered Die Cut evokes all kinds of moods. From the spaced-out vibe of “Rhythm Method” to the mellow feel of the Biz Markie-assisted “Moonlightin’” to the high energy of the aforementioned”Work My Mind,” it effortlessly spotlights Cut’s versatility.

(The original version of this article was published on October 6, 2017 and can be found below.)

Cut Chemist — DJ for Jurassic 5 and founding member of Ozomatli — is back with his first solo LP since 2006’s The Audience Listening. In addition to the album announcement, the Los Angeles-based turntablist has shared the project’s lead single and accompanying video “Work My Mind” featuring fellow J5 member Chali 2na and frequent collaborator Hymnal.

“This is the death of a musical identity and the birth of another,” Cut explained in a statement. “It isn’t just the cut-and-paste style anymore. I’m collaborating with more musicians and sampling less. This is different. The content is emotionally heavier, even though it’s still fun. It harks back to the energy you can share with live musicians rather than being a DJ alone on stage. I wanted to capture that with this style of music.”

“Really honored to be a part of this new project with a such an old friend,” Chali tells HipHopDX. “‘Work My Mind’ bangs in the car and the club, and I can’t wait to get it tight enough to perform it!”

The slightly creepy visual finds Cut — like the mad scientist he is — piecing together various moving parts of the track as Chali and Hymnal rap along to the funked-out, uptempo beat. Towards the end, a demonic presence slinks across a cemetery, adding an element of horror into the visual.

Die Cut also boasts appearances by Mr. Lif, Freestyle Fellowship’s Myka 9,  The Mars Volta’s Deantoni Parks, Biz Markie, Parenthood actress Erika Christensen, tUnE-yArDs, Farmer Dave Scher, Dexter Story and more. The project is expected to arrive in early 2018.

The seasoned Hip Hop vet has been staying busy with his A Stable Sound podcast and plenty of live shows all around the world (both solo and with J5).
