Quality Control’s Stolen Hard Drives Returned Following CEO’s $20K Offer

Atlanta, GA – It appears thieves may have taken up Quality Control Music CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas’ offer of $20,000 for the safe return of two stolen hard drives.

Thomas posted an image via Instagram showing a FaceTime chat with Lil Baby, who is holding up the hard drives. Additionally, it seems they may have contained new music by Lil Yachty.

An engineer affiliated with Quality Control Music had his Dodge Journey stolen at a gas station in Atlanta on Tuesday (October 10). While the car can be replaced, label CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas took to Instagram to offer $20,000 cash for the safe return of a hard drive inside the vehicle.

Thomas made it clear that he’s not concerned about the vehicle itself.

“Attention: Atlanta,” he wrote in the post. “Whoever just jumped in my the Dodge Journey and stole the car at the Chevron on Northside dr. That was my engineer car with an important hard drive in it.

“I know you are just doing what you do and I’m not knocking your hustle cause I use to steal cars in the 90’s. I have 20k cash money for the hard drive back.”

Jim Jones Officially Hit With 5 Felonies Stemming From Drugs & Weapons Arrest

Coweta County, GA – Jim Jones has been officially charged with five felonies from his June arrest in Georgia. According to TMZ, the Dipset rapper has been hit with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was also hit with a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana under an ounce.

Jones was arrested on drug possession and weapons charges after the Mercedes he was riding in was pulled over. As the officer was conducting the traffic stop, driver Ana Rajnee Miles sped away and led the Atlanta police officers on a short chase.

After finally apprehending Jones and the other three vehicle occupants, investigators searched the car and discovered marijuana, 23 Oxycodone pills and a loaded Titan .25 caliber pistol inside a backpack. They also found a Ruger SR 9mm handgun reported stolen from Dekalb County in March.

In a second backpack, police found a variety of Oxycodone, Percocet, THC oil, Jones’ passport and $148 in what Jones called “petty cash.”

Jones’ arraignment is scheduled for later this month. If convicted on all six charges, he faces up to decades in prison.

Jim Jones was reportedly arrested on Wednesday night (June 21) in Coweta County, Georgia.

According to The Newnan Times-Herald, the Dipset O.G. was apprehended on drug possession and weapons charges. Coweta Country Sheriff’s Office investigator Jeremy Wood spotted a gray Mercedes crossing over into the left hand emergency lane when he decided to pull the vehicle over. Jones was in the backseat.

As the traffic stop was being conducted, the driver of the vehicle, Ana Rajnee Miles, took off and led officers on a brief police chase. Wood pulled in front of the car and the driver reportedly struck Wood’s vehicle intentionally.

Once the four occupants were out of the vehicle, Jones explained Miles was acting “incoherent” and wouldn’t pull over.

Investigators searched the vehicle and discovered 23 Oxycodone pills and a Titan .25 caliber pistol with seven bullets in the chamber tucked inside a backpack.

Weed was also found throughout the vehicle, along with a Ruger SR 9mm handgun reported stolen from Dekalb County in March.

In another backpack, police found a variety of Oxycodone, Percocet and THC oil as well as Jones’ passport and $148 in what Jones described as “petty cash.”

Everyone in the car was taken Newnan Piedmont Hospital to be medically cleared before they were booked into the Coweta County Jail on Thursday morning (June 21).

Jones was charged with multiple felonies, including possession of the stolen gun, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and possession of narcotics. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for the prescription pills not being in their original container.

He was reportedly released on $7,000 bail.

Pusha T Thinks Making Bloated Albums For Streaming Numbers Is Cheating

Berlin, Germany – Pusha T evidently isn’t a fan of artists overloading their albums with songs to game the streaming system. During a conversation with journalist Anupa Mistry at the 2018 Red Bull Music Festival in Berlin, the G.O.O.D. Music president revealed his disdain for the tactic while explaining how Kanye West convinced him to make DAYTONA a seven-track album.

“What really sold me, because [Kanye] knows I’m so anti the idea of everybody putting like 25 tracks on an album to get the streams up and all of that,” he said around the 49-minute mark. “It’s such a poverty way of cheating to me. I’m not into it. So I was like, ‘You know what, you’re right. We need to be totally against everything, and we need to just have a whole other mantra in regard to what we’re doing in this wave.”

Pusha’s criticism could be seen as another jab at his rival Drake, whose latest album Scorpion includes 25 songs. Drizzy has previously generated massive streaming numbers with his 20-track album Views and his 22-song playlist More Life.

Although the rules have changed over time, Billboard currently counts 1,250 subscription streams as one album unit sold and 3,750 ad-supported audio streams as one album unit sold.

The Recording Industry Association of America calculates 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video streams as one album sold for certification purposes.

Under these standards, artists have an incentive to pack projects with lots of songs to generate additional streams. Doing so provides more opportunities to move equivalent units, allowing them to ascend the Billboard charts and obtain gold or platinum certifications.

Watch the entire conversation with Pusha T up top for recollections of his early rap days, thoughts on his controversial DAYTONA cover art and much more.
