Rhymefest Says Kanye West Told Him "Fuck The Youth Of Chicago" As DONDA’s House Pleads For Money

Kanye West’s non-profit organization Donda’s House and its Creative Director, Rhymefest are “sharing their truth” today.

The former Kanye West songwriter called out his fellow Chicago friend for failing to procure funds in efforts to convert Ye’s childhood home into a creative safe house for the kids.

On Friday (May 25), Donda’s House released a statement saying they haven’t been able “…to secure the financial support of Kanye despite multiple attempts, and despite those early conversations about his plan of support and advocacy for the youth in our programs.”

West’s recent controversial actions, such as his support of President Donald Trump, backing of conservative pundit Candace Owens and saying slavery was a choice has caused an uptick in interview requests and questioning by corporate supporters about West’s involvement with the charity, named after his late mother Dr. Donda West.

One of West’s controversial actions involved him criticizing former U.S. President Barack Obama for not doing anything for Chicago and its youth. He also vowed, publicly on Twitter, that he has plans in place to help out his hometown, where Obama did not.

Rhymefest went on Twitter to blast West for his lack of support for Donda’s House. He then signaled Drake for assistance — after GOOD Music pays the $100,000 invoice sent over to help with the “promotion” of Pusha T’s album DAYTONA. This latest Kanye controversy has heightened even more in the news that Kanye West paid $85,000 for the cover art that depicted Whitney Houston’s drug-ridden bathroom.

According to Rhymefest, West’s desire to help the kids in the city may be a farce as he allegedly said “fuck the youth of Chicago” after speaking to Ye about his vowed obligations.

“@Drake when G.O.O.D. Music sends the money they owe you, will you please help us rebuild Kanye’s mothers house for the youth of Chicago,” he tweeted.

Donda’s House is hoping Kanye’s actions won’t stop their goals of serving the youth by converting his late mother’s home into a recording studio, museum and learning space.

“We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organization that like other non-profits needs donations, corporate support and volunteers,” Donda’s House statement further reads. “We do not want your rejection of Kanye West, to be a rejection of Dr. Donda West and the thousands of lives she impacted including her own son. As we prepare to launch our summer programming, we have been bombarded with inquiries about Kanye West. As we seek support to convert Kanye’s childhood home into a recording studio, museum and learning space – we have been unable to secure the financial support of Kanye despite multiple attempts, and despite those early conversations about his plan of support and advocacy for the youth in our programs.”

There’s plenty of opportunity for those that care to help out with the charity organization, however. On June 2nd, Donda’s House will be holding an orientation at Chicago’s Dyett High School for the Arts for potential volunteers.

Tay-K Associate Sentenced To Life In Prison For Capital Murder

Fort Worth, TX – Latharian Merritt, the man accused of pulling the trigger during the 2016 botched robbery that also implicated “The Race” rapper Tay-K, met his fate on Thursday (May 24) after a jury took three hours to decide his future.

According to the Star-Telegram, the 24-year-old Long Beach, California native will serve out the rest of his days in prison after being handed a life sentence for capital murder. The death penalty was waived before the start of the trial.

On July 26, 2016, Merrit and six other individuals (including Tay-K) were arrested after Ethan Walker, the father of a 3-year-old daughter, was killed during a home invasion on the 1500 block of Aspen Court in Mansfield, Texas.

The arrest prompted national attention after when the then 16-year-old Tay K (born Taymor Travon McIntyre in Long Beach) cut off his ankle monitors and led police on a nationwide manhunt before being captured on June 30, 2017, by U.S Marshals in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

During his fugitive freedom, he recorded his breakout record, “The Race,” where he taunted his would-be captors.

During hearings on Wednesday (May 23), a witness to the crime testified Tay-K was angry that Merritt “popped someone and we only got a little cash and a watch” after the robbery.

Zach Beloate, 19, who was also shot during the fatal robbery and said to be the gang’s initial target, testified the bullet entered his shoulder and exited through his chest.

Merritt’s attorney, Tim Moore, had argued that Merritt didn’t go into the robbery with murderous intentions, citing how Walker was shot once (in the stomach) and an onlooking girl was never threatened with gun violence.

“My finger must have been on the trigger, but I don’t remember pulling the trigger,” Moore said during the trial, directly quoting Merritt’s recount of the incident from a videotaped Mansfield police interview that was shown to the jury.

“I’m sorry I was in that situation,” Merritt told Walker’s family.

The remaining adult co-defendants — Jalen Bell, Sean Robinson, Ariana Bharrat and Megan Holt — are currently awaiting their trials in Tarrant County jail.

As part of a plea bargain arrangement, Holt was promised a 20-year-sentence by the prosecution in exchange for her testimony in the Merritt and upcoming trials of the aforementioned defendants.

Tay-K’s manager, Ezra Averill, recently took to social media to affirm his controversial client would not be facing the death penalty in his upcoming capital murder trial, which, as of press time, still has no set date.

McIntyre also faces additional capital murder charges stemming from an April 2017 incident where 23-year-old Mark Anthony Saldivar was killed.

Ice Cube Weighs In On Kendrick Lamar Fan’s N-Word Controversy & NFL Anthem Policy

During a recent live performance of “M.A.A.D City,” Kendrick Lamar invited a white fan on stage to sing along, and then things got awkward.

Ice Cube, for his part, weighed in on the matter for Australian TV, ahead of his appearance at the Sydney Opera House.

Speaking on a show called The Project, Cube told host Waleed Aly that Lamar should never have invited people on stage in the first place.

“Don’t invite people on stage if you don’t want them to sing along … Everybody know what the songs are,” the founding member of N.W.A said, adding there’s already enough crowd participation at concerts without having to add to it by inviting people up to rap along.

“We don’t pay to see nobody else sing anyway,” he said.

He also commented on the NFL’s new policy of fining players who take a knee during the national anthem.

“I think it’s dumb,” he said. “I think it’s one of the dumbest decisions the NFL has made. It goes against what our country is supposed to be about, which is freedom of speech. It’s one of our basic rules.”

He concluded his comments by saying the policy was “totally un-American.”

Quentin Miller Corrects Drake’s Kroger Line From "Duppy Freestyle"

While Quentin Miller has likely been minding his own business somewhere in Atlanta, Pusha T brazenly inserted his name into the first verse of his DAYTONA song, “Infrared,” in an attempt at continuing Meek Mill’s, Drake-don’t-rap-his-own-raps narrative from three years ago.

“It was written like Nas but it came from Quentin,” Push spit on “Infrared.”

The Drake-dedicated lines were a clear reference to that 2015 ghostwriting debacle ignited by Meek Mill, who at the time was upset over Drake’s “R.I.C.O.” verse off Dreams Worth More Than Money.

In less than 24 hours, however, Drake unleashed a scathing response to Pusha T with “Duppy Freestyle to which he addresses his relationship with Quentin Miller.

According to the OVO boss’ verse, he was only trying to help Miller elevate out of his grueling grocery store job at Kroger.

“And as for Q, man I changed his life a couple times,” Drake bites back. “Nigga was at Kroger working double time/Y’all acting like he made the boy when I was trying to help the guy.”

But Miller got wind of the shoutout and corrected Drizzy’s lyrical flub on Twitter by posting a screenshot of the McGinnis-Ferry Publix Super Mark in Suwanee, GA he had worked at during the time.

The oversight harkens memories of when Drake mistakenly rapped he met Bria Myles at Macy’s at the Beverly Center on Nothing Was The Same‘s “From Time” when it was actually Bloomingdales.

And while everyone has been using Quinten’s name to boost their credibility in word-wars with Drake, Miller shamelessly plugged (and rightfully so) his recently released WDNG Crshrs EP, Crshd Files Vol. 2. Listen to it below.

"Duppy Freestyle" Lyrics IRL: Drake Sends Good Music $100K Invoice For Aiding Pusha T’s "Career Reviving"

Toronto, Canada – In the closing lines of Drake’s now viral diss to Pusha T, “Duppy Freestyle,” the OVO mastermind quipped, “Tell [Kanye] we got an invoice coming to you/Considering that we just sold another 20 for you.”

The fadeaway lyrics signified Drake predicted his SoundCloud drop (which, as of press time, has amassed more than two million plays in just a few hours) would bring even more attention to Pusha T’s newly released album, DAYTONA, which closed things out with the song “Infrared,” a clear swipe at Drizzy.

Pusha T wasted no time responding amidst the Twitter fever, with the retort, “Send the invoice for the extra 20…”

But like Drake rapped in on “Duppy Freestyle,” he was in album mode and immediately posted a photo of an invoice requesting Pusha’s manager and Def Jam Executive VP Head Of AR Steve Victor to cough up $100,000 in exchange for “promotional assistance and career reviving.”

You’re welcome. ?

The recent spat between Drake and Pusha T was sparked after the Good Music President referenced the ghostwriting claims heard ’round the world with the interpolated JAY-Z lyrics, “The game’s fucked up/ Niggas’ beats is banging nigga, ya hooks did it/ The lyric pennin’ equal to Trump’s winnin’/ The bigger question is how the Russians did it/ It was written like Nas/ But it came from Quentin.”
