2 Chainz Jumps On "Swag Surfin" Beat For "Stay Woke Freestyle"

While fans wait on 2 Chainz’s Rap Or Go To The League album, the artist formerly known as Tity Boi is staying busy with a new song titled “Stay Woke Freestyle.” The track opens up with a brief sample of Ghost Town DJ’s “My Boo” before switching over to the instrumental of Fast Life Yungstaz’s popular single “Swag Surfin.”

The freestyle arrives a few months after the veteran MC dropped a two-track set called Hot Wings Are A Girl’s Best Friend. Earlier this month, 2 Chainz dropped a video for one of the singles, “Hot Wings,” which can be seen below.

J. Cole’s Deleted Instagram Posts Allude To Battle Record

J. Cole is fueling speculation of a new music release with his Instagram activity. The Dreamville Records founder hinted a potential battle record, sharing four new messages on the social media platform before deleting all of his posts on Monday (January 21).

“I’m making a list,” he wrote. “I’m writing down names. I’m loading my clips. I’m counting my bullets.”

Cole’s teaser comes on the heels of his Revenge Of The Dreamers III recording sessions, which wrapped up last week in Atlanta. Over the course of 10 days, HipHopDX’s 2018 Rapper Of The Year and his Dreamville team worked on the compilation with a bevy of Hip Hop stars and acclaimed producers.

T.I., Rick Ross, Big K.R.I.T., Ski Mask The Slump God and Westside Gunn were just a few of the notable rappers to participate in the sessions. Tay Keith, S1, Kenny Beats and Childish Major were among the producers brought in to contribute.

It’s unclear if Cole’s Instagram activity is referencing Dreamville’s upcoming Revenge Of The Dreamers III compilation or if it’s a clue about his solo work.

Last year, the platinum-selling artist closed out his KOD album with “1985,” a song that explicitly referred to a new project titled The Fall Off. He later revealed his previously released singles “Everybody Dies” and “False Prophets” were originally recorded for The Fall Off.

Apparently, Knight is actively looking for someone to produce beats for ‘Pac’s next project as well.

“I NEED THE HOTTEST PRODUCER TO WORK ON A PROJECT FOR PAC,” he added.

Although several theories related to ‘Pac being alive have been floating around since his 1996 murder, numerous people are questioning Knight’s mental state. Other people are convinced his posts are just a convoluted way of plugging the unreleased music the Tupac Shakur Estate has in the vault.

Last September, the estate reportedly won its lawsuit against Entertainment One and the music was part of the settlement.

‘Pac died on September 13, 1996, six days after he was shot at a Las Vegas intersection. Knight’s father was in the car at the time of the shooting.

R. Kelly’s Alleged NDA Surfaces

Chicago, IL – It’s been often reported that R. Kelly made the alleged recruits into his sex cult sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure what happens during the course of their “relationship” stays between them.

However, now — thanks to The Blast — we’re able to see more insight into what was laid out in the supposed NDA.

As shown in the excerpts, once signed, the women became “privileged members of Robert Kelly’s team,” prohibiting them sharing any sort of confidential information about his private life, ideas, concepts, and — more broadly — any information related to his business and personal brand.

Aside from ensuring that women who become part of this inner circle never share anything, ever — during or after their experience with the Pied Piper — it also expanded to include their family and third-party relationships. This means that loose lips at a holiday party, or low-key remarks to the press, would render the signee legally liable for any damages.

Probably one of the most problematic portions of the NDA is the curious prohibition from sharing information with anyone else who happens to be part of his “team.” That and — of course — that fact that signing apparently absolved Kelly from not only being sued, but “any and all matter of liabilities, claims, and demands of any kind or nature, whatsoever, in law or equity.”

You can see more excerpts from the NDA, here.

Playboi Carti Convicted For Assaulting Tour Bus Driver In Scotland

Scotland – Playboi Carti was ordered to pay a fine after being convicted for a February 2018 assault of a tour bus driver. According to the BBC, Carti was found guilty in a trial at the Dumfries Justice of the Peace Court in Scotland.

Carti, whose real name is Jordan Carter, was accused of punching a German driver and smashing a tour bus window after some vehicle complications arose. An issue emerged at a Scottish service station when the driver reportedly tried to fix a persistent heating issue but couldn’t get the vehicle to start again.

A replacement tour bus was obtained, but the new ride was apparently not up to Carti’s standards.

Alistair MacLeish, one of the drivers of the relief vehicle, testified that Carti began to cause a scene before attacking the original bus driver.

“I saw things being thrown around the tour bus and then a man ran across and punched the driver on the face, cutting him and knocking his glasses off,” he said, according to the BBC. “It was the accused Carter who had been standing with a group but as two guys tried to restrain him he wriggled past them ran across and punched the driver who stumbled back.”

He added, “The driver did not do anything to him and did not retaliate.”

Carti denied any assault took place but did admit to causing damages to the bus. His tour managers claimed he acted in self-defense and described the German driver as being “angry and agitated.”

The judge presiding over the case ruled against Carti and ordered him to pay a £800 fine, which comes out to around $1,030 in U.S. currency. £500 of the fine was set for the assault while the other £300 was for the tour bus damages.
