Iggy Azalea Uses French Montana’s Likeness For A Diss

Iggy Azalea had some colorful words for a hater who popped up in her Instagram comment section — and threw French Montana under the bus in the process.

On Friday (August 17), the Aussie rapper shared a photo of herself rocking a denim outfit. Someone wrote, “White chicks part 2,” a reference to the Marlon Wayans film of the same name.

Iggy snapped back, “You look like you shared a womb with French Montana and he sucked all the nutrients leaving you the genetic crumbs to cling to life with.”

#Iggy didn’t have to read him like that ?

This isn’t the first time Iggy’s heard that comparison and it likely won’t be the last. But she takes it all in stride. In fact, she donned a White Chicks Halloween costume in 2014, proving she can roll with the punches — even when they were coming from Snoop Dogg.

Argument Over Aretha Franklin Biopic Actress Leads To Shooting

Suffolk, VA – Two men in a Virginia barbershop got into a heated argument over whether Halle Berry would play Aretha Franklin in a biopic. According to WKTR, police said the fight turned into a physical altercation.

Before the Queen of Soul’s August 16 death, she’d expressed interest in having Berry play her in a biopic based on Franklin’s memoir, Aretha: From These Roots. But Berry confessed she couldn’t sing and wouldn’t do the role justice. Singer Jennifer Hudson was eyed for the role instead.

The debate evidently led to the incident. During the melee, 44-year-old Michael Jermell Hatton, produced a firearm and shot Tony Jonathan Lundy, 47, at least once outside of the shop.

People inside a nearby business heard four to five shots.

Lundy is reportedly in critical condition at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Hatton was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital. He was eventually transported to the Western Tidewater Regional Jail, where he remains held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.

Kodak Black Is Out Of Jail

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Kodak Black was released from a Broward County jail on Saturday (August 18), according to ABC10.

Black, who legally changed his name to Bill K. Kapri and earned his high school equivalency diploma while incarcerated, spent seven months at the main jail. He was originally scheduled for an October release, but evidently got out a couple of months early.

The 21-year-old reportedly drove away in a black Bentley Bentayga sport utility vehicle with a temporary paper plate. His first stop was his mother’s house where he went to see his son.

Black was arrested in January after an Instagram video showed weed close to his child. After police searched his Pembroke Pines home, he was arrested and charged with charged with child neglect, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession.

In February, the child neglect and grand theft of a firearm charges were dropped, although he pleaded not guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession.

Black’s legal troubles aren’t over. He still has a pending sexual assault case in South Carolina.

Last month, a rumor started circulating that alleged XXXTENTACION’s killer was raped and assaulted in jail by Black’s associates. It turned out to be false.

X was killed on June 18 in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Twitter Isn’t Having Any Tevin Campbell Slander

Twitter – Twitter collectively stood up for ’90s RB singer Tevin Campbell after author Luvvie Ajayi scoffed at the possibility he could perform at an Aretha Franklin tribute.

“Someone suggested Tevin Campbell to sing at Aretha tribute,” Ajayi wrote. “Under what rock did they pull that name from?”

That was all it took. Suddenly, Twitter exploded with love for the former teenage heartthrob. From Missy Elliott and Wale to “I Love Your Smile” singer Shanice and Ferrari Sheppard, people weren’t having it.

Campbell and the Queen of Soul’s relationship stretched back many years. On Friday (August 17) — one day after Franklin passed away — he shared an old photo of the two of them together.

In the caption, Campbell wrote, “The only celebrity that made me nervous…each time I saw her I acted like a nervous fan. The first thing she would say to me was, ‘How is your mom?’

“I literally studied every moment, every specific great thing she did with her voice. The queen was/is everything to me.”

The young musical prodigy released his platinum-selling debut, T.E.V.I.N., in 1991 and followed up with 1993’s I’m Ready, which produced the No. 1 single “Can We Talk.” That album went on to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA.

Throughout the ’90s, Campbell remained a mainstay on the RB charts. His last full-length album, Another Way, was released in 2005.

Despite his relatively low profile over the last several years, people evidently still love some Tevin Campbell.
