It’s been a minute since the New York-bred MC has pumped out a project. Like a firecracker, Diabolic explodes out of the gate and throws shots at two of his adversaries — Talib Kweli and Immortal Technique — while letting his fans know he’s on to them.
“I don’t believe a word these punks and bitches said/ Because when their skin is shed, they’re just geeks from the interweb,” he spits.
Of course, Diabolic’s beef with Kweli dates back to 2016 when ‘Bolic blasted the Black Star MC over the question, “If a white rapper asks a black rapper if he’s pro black racist or both, he’s saying I’m racist for being pro black,” which he claimed was a generalization about white rappers.
From there, ‘Bolic took his grievances to wax with “InEqwelity”and dissed the Hip Hop vet.
But the new track isn’t only about delivering jabs. Throughout the song, Vanderslice’s subtle, layered sample flips help balance things out.
Collusion arrives on April 12 via Coalmine Records. In the meantime, check out the “Think Of That” single above and check out the tracklist below.
