“We’re teaming up with Chance The Rapper to make a positive impact on the community by raising funds for SocialWorks,” Postmates announced on their blog.

The popular delivery service promises to donate up to $10,000.

I hand picked some of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and teamed up with @Postmates to raise money for @SocialWorks_chi. For every delivery from my “favorites” section in the Postmates app between TODAY and Friday (I know I said next week in the video…I recorded this video last week), we will donate $1 to empowering the youth of Chicago. #socialworks

Tyga Rumored To Be Dating Kardashian Associate Tammy Hembrow

Los Angeles, CA – The degrees of separation between Tyga and the Kardashian clan remain small despite his split with Kylie Jenner. The resurgent rapper is raising eyebrows about possibly being in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend’s pal Tammy Hembrow.

According to the Daily Mail, Tyga was spotted with the Australian Instagram model at Rolling Loud Australia in Sydney on Sunday (January 27).

“Tammy spent all night backstage (or on the side of the stage) as if she was his girlfriend,” a source told Daily Mail Australia.

Another source said, “They were so into each other, it seems there’s definitely something going on there. Some people backstage thought they were actually a couple.”

However, Tammy’s sister and spokesperson Amy Hembrow denied the rumors of a romance on Tuesday (January 29).

“Tammy had a couple of backstage passes for the festival with a couple of friends for the festival, including our other sister who was also there,” she said. “We were all invited as friends, everyone is just friends and were having fun dancing at the festival. This has all been taken out of context.”

Hembrow currently works as a model for Khloe Kardashian’s Good American fashion label.

Rep Denies Kanye West Is Holding "Yandhi" Hostage Over Label Dispute

Los Angeles, CA – A rep for Kanye West is reportedly calling foul on a recent report alleging the G.O.O.D. Music boss is holding Yandhi hostage. According to XXL, the rep denied The Blast’s exclusive report claiming there’s a third and singular lawsuit with Def Jam Recordings.

“The Blast article has the unredacted complaint but it’s not a new lawsuit,” the statement read. “It’s the unredacted version of the previous filing. Also there’s another inaccurate portion about him holding up the ninth album. That’s not in the complaint and untrue.”

Kanye, however, did file a recent lawsuit against Roc-A-Fella Records and EMI Recordings. He claims they owe him money.

Yandhi was originally expected to arrive last September. Following multiple delays, a new release date has yet to be announced.

Kanye West has been teasing Yandhi for months, but after multiple delays, the project has yet to materialize. According to The Blast, the reason for the lag is due to a label dispute. Shortly after ‘Ye filed a lawsuit against Roc-A-Fella Records, his legal teamed set its sights on Def Jam Recordings and EMI.

The legal documents reportedly take aim at Bravado merchandising and Island Def Jam, alleging both companies have been exploiting “one of the world’s most iconic, multi-faceted, and productive talents.”

The polarizing Hip Hop figure is asking a judge to free him from any obligations he has to Def Jam, the label he’s been tied to for the past 17 years.

“Even if the contracts were not unfair (they are), even if their terms valued Mr. West’s contributions in line with the breathtaking success he has achieved for these companies (they do not) and even if the companies had not unpaid Mr. West what they owe him (they have), he would be entitled to be set free from its bonds,” the document read.

The G.O.O.D. Music mastermind is also asking for ownership of his master recordings.

“At no point since the commencement of Mr. West’s services under the recording agreement and extensions in 2002 has he enjoyed any ‘moment of freedom’ that is, any moment during which he was freed from his obligations under the contract and able to offer his services to anyone else, take a break from his recording career, or even retire from it altogether,” the doc stated.

Kanye’s team insists he’s owed a “substantial amount” of money, although the number isn’t specified. They suggest Def Jam “has unjustly earned millions of dollars by binding Mr. West’s recording talents to [Island Def Jam] for an unlawful term.”

‘Ye reportedly doesn’t want Yandhi held up in any contractual obligations. Therefore, he’s refusing to release it.

At this point, there’s no telling if the album will ever surface. For now, all his fans will get are his weekly Sunday Service series.

Bobby Shmurda’s Mother Provides Update On Her Son Following Prison Visit

Clinton County, NY – Bobby Shmurda still has over 20 months left on his prison sentence, but he seems to be handling it as well as one possibly could imagine. Leslie Pollard, Shmurda’s mother, provided another update on her son after visiting him at the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York over the weekend.

“Great visit with my stinky…..the count down continues 22 months to go,” she wrote on Instagram. “Chewy is in great spirits he sends his Love and he can not wait to be back to work.”

Shmurda was arrested on a myriad of charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, in 2014. He eventually agreed to a plea deal in 2016 and was sentenced to seven years in prison. He was credited with nearly two years of time served though, allowing his parole to come up in 2020.

In a 2016 interview with Complex, Shmurda said he agreed to a harsher sentence to help his friend and collaborator Rowdy Rebel. According to Shmurda, prosecutors originally offered him a deal for five years.

“They offered me five and offered Rowdy 12,” he stated. “They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs.”

Keak Da Sneak To Begin 16-Month Prison Sentence Despite Wheelchair Confinement

Jackson, CA – Keak Da Sneak nearly lost his life in January 2017 after several men attempted to rob him in Oakland. After the altercation, the assailants started firing their guns. The Bay Area staple was sitting passenger side and came extremely close to getting hit. Following the incident, he decided to get a gun despite being a convicted felon.

But according to KQED, he’s been the target of multiple violent attacks and felt he had to have a way to defend himself. On Monday (January 28), Keak attended a hearing and learned he will begin serving his 16-month sentence for one count of possession of a firearm as a felon on February 7.

Keak was originally supposed to start his sentence following the hearing, but Amador County Superior Court Judge J.S. Hermanson gave him additional time to complete a medical procedure.

In March 2017, Keak was caught with the weapon while coming home from a night of gambling at a casino in Amador County, a rural area east of Sacramento. The latest census report says the population is 89 percent white.

“It was really racial profiling at an all-time high,” he said.

A police officer ran his license plate at a gas station and discovered he was on probation because of a prior firearm charge. That’s when the officer decided to search his car where he discovered the gun.

Consequently, the Amador County district attorney charged Keak with possession of a firearm as a felon, possession of ammunition as a felon, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended or revoked license and possession of a controlled substance.

Shortly after the criminal case began, Keak was involved in another shooting in August 2017 outside of a Richmond gas station. Much like the shooting in Oakland, he was the victim of another attempted robbery.

“The first bullet busted the window and hit me in the face, grazed my face,” he said. “It made me put my arms up and guard my head, so I got shot all in my side, abdomen, my elbows, my sides. When the gunfire stopped, I couldn’t feel my legs.”

Keak woke up two days later at Oakland’s Highland Hospital. He now has to use a wheelchair full-time, see a nurse three times a week and use a colostomy bag. Although he put up a legal battle for two years, prosecutors refused to consider house arrest as a part of his plea bargain.

“It feels like they had no compassion,” he said. “My health is not good. I know they’re not gonna give me the treatment I need in prison. I’ve been to jail before, and once you get behind these walls, they have no compassion. You have to be on your dying bed for them to give you some assistance.

“Am I gonna get the treatment I’m getting out here? I don’t think so. I’ve been to jail with people who were sick and really doing bad, and the guards and deputies didn’t care about them at all. They came and beat on them because they were pushing the button like, ‘I need help, I need help.’”

During Keak’s time behind bars, he hopes to be able to take care of his kids with his music.

“It got me doing a lot of recording right now, so while I’m gone I can be dropping music to take care of my family,” he said. “I have a lot of people in my corner, on my side. They feel like it’s biased, the way they’re treating me. If I was another race, they wouldn’t be doing me like this.”

Keak is expected to be released sometime around June 2020.
