Police Reportedly Investigating Threat That Caused Lil Xan’s Concert Cancellation

St. Louis, MO – Lil Xan had to cancel a planned concert at The Pageant in St. Louis due to a man’s threats of violence. Now, police are reportedly investigating the matter.

TMZ reports a criminal investigation is underway with police looking into VladHQ, a rapper from the St. Louis area who made the threats. Vlad posted clips of himself firing shots with a rifle while antagonizing Xan.

“I want my smoke tomorrow October 10 at The Pageant,” he said in the video.

Since then, Vlad has released a Xan diss track. The song references the concert cancellation.

Listen to it below.

At this point, Lil Xan’s behavior requires its own category. From “overdosing” on Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to dropping the N-word during a mall food court outburst, the 22-year-old consistently puts himself in precarious situations.

But this time, it’s not Xan’s latest Xannanigans that are making headlines. After a gun-wielding man posted a video threatening the Redlands-bred rapper’s life, Xan’s St. Louis concert, which was scheduled for Wednesday (October 10), was canceled.

In a clip obtained by TMZ, the man shouts, “Hey Lil Xan, I want my smoke tomorrow October 10 at The Pageant, you little bitch. Where the fuck you at?” as he fires bullets at a lake.

The night the show was supposed to happen, the same person — who is allegedly a St. Louis producer — posted a photo of himself holding multiple AK-47s. The caption read, “hi Lil Xan see ya later at your show.”

The man is apparently fuming after Xan failed to pay him for some work.

The St. Louis police aren’t actively investigating the threat but Xan’s reps assure his fans the “old situation” has been handled.

“It is our top priority, including the promoters and venue to ensure safety at every show,” they told TMZ. “This was an old situation that has been taken care of internally. There is no reason to fear safety at any of Lil Xan’s shows moving forward.”

Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock Reveals He Discovered LL Cool J

New York, NY – As the rollout for the Beastie Boys’ memoir, Beastie Boys Book, continues, surviving members King Ad-Rock and Mike D are doing the press rounds. On Saturday (October 27), the seasoned Hip Hop pioneers sat down with their Def Jam brother LL Cool J for an episode of his Sirius XM show, Rock The Bells

During the conversation, Ad-Rock explains how he was responsible for discovering Mr. Ladies Love Cool James. At the time, Rick Rubin was still running Def Jam out of his New York University dorm room. Ad-Rock would often skip school and hang out in Rubin’s room where he’d dig through demos.

“So Rick Rubin produced a record with DJ Jazzy Jay and rapper T La Rock called ‘It’s Yours,’” Ad-Rock tells LL. “And it was a big record in a small circle — in a small scene in New York. Off of that record, people started sending demo tapes in because it was a rap record, and some kids started sending demos in. There was just an address on the record itself.

“And it was actually — I’m sure nobody knew that he lived in a college dorm room. And so he would get all these tapes, and there was a box of tapes. And instead of being at school, I would cut school and go to Rick’s dorm, and I’d hang out … I would listen to the tapes, and I heard this one from this kid named LL Cool J … and it was really good. You were rapping.”

To make a long story short, Ad-Rock handed the tape to Rubin and said he had to meet LL. Somehow, Rubin got a hold of him and the rest is Hip Hop history.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Hip Hop legends dive into their own respective histories and open up about the upcoming memoir.

The Beastie Boys Book is expected to arrive on Tuesday (October 30). Pre-orders are available here.

Two Arrests Made In Shooting Incident Outside Tekashi 6ix9ine Celebration

New York, NY – Two men — 33-year-old Zachary Bunce and 29-year-old Faheem Walter — have been arrested for a shooting outside of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s post-sentencing celebration. They were both hit with gang assault charges, according to Page Six.

Police believe Bunce and Walter arrived at the Philippe Chow restaurant on Madison Avenue in New York City on Friday night (October 26) and tried to get in to where 6ix9ine was having dinner with his manager. When the rapper’s security turned the men away, Bunce and Walter soon returned to the upscale dining establishment where all hell broke loose.

Cops said Walter threw a chair at a security guard. Consequently, the guard pulled out his licensed gun and shot Walter twice in the stomach.

6ix9ine was not involved in the altercation.

One of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s bodyguards was reportedly shot in the abdomen following a post-sentencing celebration on Friday night (October 26) in New York City.

According to TMZ, 6ix9ine and his entourage were at a midtown restaurant where they were celebrating his recent court victory. A security guard — who was also an off-duty cop — was ordered to watch over a 10 Project Records executive attending the celebration.

An argument reportedly broke out between 6ix9ine’s team and the guard. Someone in the Brooklyn rapper’s crew allegedly grabbed a chair and smashed it over the executive’s security guard who then allegedly took out his gun and fired four shots, hitting 6ix9ine’s bodyguard in the stomach.

The bodyguard was taken to the hospital, rushed into surgery and is currently in stable condition.

A retired police officer happened to be nearby when the gunfire erupted and reportedly fired his weapon in an attempt to stop the suspect.

The incident likely caused an abrupt end to 6ix9ine’s celebratory mood. The 21-year-old was back in his home state for a hearing on Friday morning where he was facing repercussions stemming from his 2015 child sexual assault case.

He was given four years probation, 1,000 hours of community service and a directive to stay away from gang members and cease any gang affiliations.
