Fans Heartbroken As Lil Uzi Vert Announces Departure From Music

Philadelphia, PA – Anyone who’s been following the career of “XO TOUR Llif3” architect Lil Uzi Vert knows delays are to be expected — as in the case of Luv Is Rage 2.

But after waiting almost a year-and-a- half for his new project Eternal Atake (which was originally expected by the end of 2018), fans were blindsided on Friday (January 11) after Uzi announced via Instagram he was stepping away from music and had deleted everything he recorded.

“I wanna take the time to say thank you to each and every one of my supporters but I’m done with music,” he wrote. “I deleted everything, I wanna be normal … I wanna wake up in 2013.”

Upon hearing the news, his fans were gutted. Not only were they were losing Uzi, but the music they’d been patiently waiting for was gone.

While it’s highly unlikely Uzi was in possession of a lone master copy of Eternal Atake, his early retirement does put the fate of the project in jeopardy.

His recent verse on Shabazz PBG’s “Shells” suggested he was actively trying to get out of his deal with Atlantic Records — even making an allusion to Mase‘s Bad Boy departure.

Rapper retirements (outside of Joe Budden) rarely seem to stick, so, for now, fans will have to just wait and see how it plays out.

Soulja Boy Explodes After He’s Accused Of Being Addicted To Crack

Los Angeles, CA – Following a social media rant aimed at Tyga, Soulja Boy fell victim to ruthless internet trolls when several of them accused the 28-year-old artist of being on crack.

They cited an old photo of the Chicago-born rapper and compared it to a current one. While some were quick to point out he’s simply “just aging,” others weren’t so sure.

Soulja decided to face the rumors head-on and hopped on Instagram Live where he explained his appearance has nothing to do with drugs. He reminded his fans he was recently in a terrible car accident that almost cost him his life.

“First of all, I wanna say for everybody that’s saying Soulja looks like he’s on drugs, Soulja Boy look like he on crack, he on powder,” he said. “Bitch, don’t play with me like that! I ain’t never did crack in my life, bitch. I’m a millionaire, I’m worth muthafuckin’ $30 million nigga. I never did cocaine in my life.

“Don’t play with me like that. I just was in a car accident two days ago, I almost lost my life. I hit my face on the dashboard and my shit swole. I need surgery and shit. Don’t be making fun of my fucking appearance and my fucking looks. Talkin’ about like I’m on drugs. Y’all better suck my fuckin’ dick … I never did crack in my fucking life. Y’all some pussies for saying that.”

Last weekend, Soulja Boy’s car was swept up in the California mudslides as he was cruising through Malibu. While his car was destroyed, he was able to walk away with his life.

“I’m just thankful to be alive,” he said later. “I don’t care about the car it’s materialistic you can’t take it with you when you’re gone.”
