HipHopDX Premiere – Philadelphia has had its fair share of rappers who’ve helped define the landscape of their environment and rising Philly rapper Kur is on his way to becoming one of them.
In the new Rick Nyce-directed video for his latest single “Crack,” Kur strolls through the city that raised him, rapping about the difficulties and triumphs he’s endured. Throughout the visual, he features clips of other Philly rappers to show his support for the Philadelphia rap community.

Kur dropped his How It Never Was mixtape in 2015 featuring the standout banger, “I’m a Star.” Immediately after the success of that project, he released Finally Happened, which showed off his unmatched motivation and work ethic.
In 2016, the rawness of his Have Not EP elicited a response from G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T who shared on Twitter, “Your truth is your greatness.”

That same year, Kur was a featured rapper in the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher. With additional cosigns from Timbaland and Philly rap superstar Meek Mill, Kur is confident and ready to drop his next project, which includes “Crack.”
Kur is also hitting the road with Boston artist Token next week for the Between Somewhere World Tour.
