Suga Free Says Long Awaited “Resurrection” LP Is Coming Soon

San Bernardino, CA – Fans of legendary West Coast MC Suga Free has been anxiously awaiting the release of Resurrection, which is set to be his seventh studio LP and the follow up to 2009’s Hi Power Pimpin.

Many were thrown off after a 30-day countdown culminated in the March 27 release of a new Kokane featured single “Hole In My Heart,” instead of the LP. However, according to a rep for Suga Free, the album is on the way — and worth the wait.

“”HOLE IN MY HEART “” Video Shoot.. The Resurrection ??. #Thetruthwillsetyoufree. #Godisgood

“We decided to drop two singles back to back first,” his team tells HipHopDX, noting that another track featuring Snoop Dogg was on the close horizon.

Suga Free has been teasing the LP for a few months now, and — as he tells HipHopDX — he’s aged like fine wine.

“When I first started rapping, I dreamed of rapping the way I rap now,” he says. “Me and Kokane were just saying the other day if somebody could have told us when we were in the fourth grade that we’d be [almost] 50 when we made our best collaboration ever … man.“

An exact release date for Resurrection has yet to be confirmed — but the LP is set to feature (among a familiar cast) DJ Quik on production.

As the album finalized, check out Suga Free’s “Hole In My Heart” featuring Kokane, below.

Nicki Minaj Facing $43K Lawsuit After Allegedly Telling Stylist “Girl, Goodbye”

A stylist is reportedly suing Nicki Minaj for more than $43,000 after allegedly not getting paid for about a month’s worth of work in 2017.

Cristina Acevedo claims Nicki didn’t “pay even one penny” despite hiring the stylist for a rate of $1,500 per day, according to documents obtained by The Blast.

Acevedo says she worked for more than 10 hours daily over the course of 24 days while the Black Barbie journeyed around the country in 2017. But at the end of their travels, Nicki allegedly refused to pay the stylist what she owed.

In the aftermath, Acevedo says she continued to pursue her payment from the multi-platinum selling artist to no avail. She claims to have received an email from Nicki that read “No one is paying you 36 thousand dollars.”

“Send an email with some sense or don’t send any others,” Nicki allegedly wrote. “This isn’t your get rich quick scheme … Girl, goodbye.”

In response, Acevedo filed a lawsuit against Nicki and her companies Pink Friday Productions and Pink Personality, Inc. in an attempt to get the money.

The stylist is suing Nicki for $43,200 plus damages.

Lyric Jones & Nameless Release "GA$ MONEY" Album & "Adulting" Video

Los Angeles, CA – Formidable Los Angeles-based MC Lyric Jones has returned to the album arena after several years with GA$ MONEY, a collaborative effort with producer Nameless.

The album’s title is derived from both artists sides hustles (driving Uber/Lyft and truck driving) and how their presence on the scene reflects on the bare minimum — which is also reflecting in the leadoff single, “Adulting.”

will.i.am Blasts Society’s “Double Standards” Over Michael Jackson Denouncement

will.i.am and Michael Jackson were close friends while the King of Pop was still alive. Now, he’s blasting society’s hypocritical views in the wake of HBO’s damning Leaving Neverland documentary.

According to The Mirror, the Black Eyed Peas MC said the Michael Jackson he knew “wouldn’t hurt a fly.” He also cast serious doubt on the intentions behind the two men — Wade Robson and James Safechuck — accusing Jackson of sexually abusing them as children, two men who already defended Jackson in court.

“I don’t know what to trust or who to believe,” Who is behind it or what? Obviously it’s money. All I know is it’s a smear campaign. If he did it, then it’s sad and inhumane. But if he didn’t, then what is happening is sad and inhumane. It is double standards. You’re not talking about banning the company that made the chemicals to kill all the Jews.

“Imagine every country that ever had slaves and people said, ‘never travel to those countries because of things they’ve done in the past. Are you not supposed to do anything with anyone who ever did ill? I could name 1,000 ills that are worse, but we are gonna pull songs instead. Why? We live in a very, very, very hypocritical, double standards, fake society.”

The Voice host added, “I could name 1,000 other products that you still buy and still use that are owned by folks that have done the most horrendous things to people.”

Leaving Neverland left Jackson fans horribly divided, while many of those who knew him vehemently defended him, including former child actor Corey Feldman. As Will continued his tirade, he ended things on a positive note.

“The Michael Jackson I loved I will always love,” he said. “The person I met was the kindest and most genuine and big-hearted person, who wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

Since the documentary aired, radio stations worldwide have pulled his music and The Simpsons’ masterminds essentially erased a classic episode featuring Jackson’s voice.
