British rapper Slowthai has broken down in court after being cleared of raping a woman at a house party following one of his shows three years ago.
The Grammy-nominated rapper, real name Tyron Frampton was charged with three joint counts of rape after he and his co-defendant, Alex Blake-Walker, were accused of assaulting two women at the afterparty in September 2021, per BBC News.
The prosecution had alleged Blake-Walker raped one woman while Slowthai encouraged him. Slowthai then allegedly raped another woman twice. The women had alleged they were assaulted on an outside roof.
On Monday (December 16), after more than 10 hours of deliberation, a jury at Oxford Crown Court found Slowthai not guilty on three joint counts of rape. Blake-Walker was also cleared on all counts following a two-week trial.
An overjoyed Slowthai reportedly burst into tears of joy as jurors delivered their verdicts. Crying was also heard from the public gallery where the rapper’s wife, singer Anne-Marie, watched the proceedings.
The court heard Slowthai performed a gig at The Bullingdon music venue in Oxford on September 7, 2021, where he met a group of women who invited him to a party at one of their homes. The prosecution argued the alleged assaults took place at this party.
Slowthai admitted to engaging in sexual activity with one of the women but insisted it had been consensual.
“I know she was consenting,” he said, giving testimony during the trial. “There wasn’t a question.”
After being charged in 2023, Slowthai was axed from the Glastonbury Festival lineup. Cancellations also followed from Reading and Leeds Festivals amid the allegations.
Bhad Bhabie has been caught up in yet another scandal, except this time, the incident caused bodily harm to an individual rather than a stir on the internet.
According to reports from KTLA, a Lamborghini SUV owned by the media personality and rapper, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, was involved in a fiery car crash in the San Fernando Valley in the early morning hours of Saturday (December 14).
The crash reportedly occurred around 4 a.m. local time on the 5500 block of Tampa Avenue in Tarzana. Preliminary investigations suggest the Los Angeles Police Department may have been pursuing the vehicle before the incident. It’s currently unclear whether Bregoli was present at the time of the crash.
Video footage obtained by KTLA shows the luxury SUV engulfed in flames as police arrived at the scene, with stunned residents watching from their homes. Gina, a neighborhood resident, recounted the chaos, revealing that this wasn’t the only instance something of this nature had occurred on the block.
“Before I ran to the window, I grabbed my phone to call 911 since this wasn’t the first time I’ve had to call them for the same reason,” Gina told KTLA. “I stayed and watched until the fire was out, and I didn’t see anyone drag the body from the car, but I did see a body right in front of our house where the mailbox used to be… moving like they were alive.”
Gina added that the crash damaged her vehicle and destroyed her cemented mailbox. Another resident, Tristan, shared his experience of assisting the driver.
“We came out and tried getting [the driver] out through the driver’s side door; my roommate ran over to the passenger side, opened the door and took the guy out,” Tristan revealed. “We didn’t think he was alive at first.”
The driver was transported to a hospital, though their condition remains unknown. Officers reportedly recovered a gun and luxury watch at the scene.
The Lamborghini that was registered to Bregoli has drawn further attention due to her recent health disclosure. Bregoli, who gained fame in 2016 following her viral “cash me ousside” moment on Dr. Phil, recently addressed speculation about her noticeable weight loss on Instagram. According to a report AllHipHop shared last month, the 21-year-old rapper revealed she’s taking “cancer” medication, though she didn’t confirm a diagnosis.
“I’m sorry my cancer medicine made me [lose] weight,” she wrote in an Instagram Story post on November 7. “I’m slowly gaining it back. So stop running w the worst narratives.”
Her statement appeared to be a response to body-shaming comments on recent posts where she looked visibly slimmer. The news has left fans concerned about her health, though she hasn’t provided additional details.

She’s a philanthropist, she’s an entrepreneur. And I think the film shows that because she’s the executive producer. This is her third film in a three picture deal with Lifetime.”
The conversation didn’t stop there.
Yan revealed his next big project, Sugar Mama, a thriller set to premiere January 3, 2025 on Tubi.
“With Sugar Mama, I wanted to step into a different genre and challenge myself,” he noted. “It’s gripping, it’s intense, and I think audiences are going to love it.
“I direct from Spirit. I think that’s the best way to describe it. I’ve been doing this for a really long time. I started in the music industry with music videos many, many years ago. So I directed over a hundred music videos, and I think from that, directing is like music to me.”
Yan’s style, heavily influenced by Hip-Hop culture and visionary directors like Spike Lee, has always been rooted in authenticity and innovation. He grew up in Hollis, Queens as Run-DMC exploded on the scene, and then worked under the legend “Uncle” Ralph McDaniels at the famed Video Music Box. “Hip-Hop taught me to think outside the box,” he reflected. “It’s about finding your voice and staying true to it.”
Yan’s groundbreaking New Orleans show, Hip Hop Half Hour, played a crucial role in connecting him with McDaniels and introduced him to a wider audience. The show highlighted local talent, further cementing his ties to the Hip-Hop community.
Reflecting on his early career, Yan revealed that the first music video he ever worked on was for Master P’s “No More Tears.”
Working with director Quinn Armstrong while living in New Orleans, Bobby Yan witnessed the Southern Hip-Hop scene that was blossoming at the time.
“The beauty of it was being part of the local community and seeing artists like Juvenile, Cash Money and Mystikal grow from their beginnings,” he said. Yan even recalled lunchtime encounters with Mystikal, then known as Michael, during his college days. “His cousin worked on my show, so he’d sneak into the lunchroom. Back then, he had the hair, the braids—even before he became Mystikal.”
A graduate of the ABC Disney Directing Program, Bobby Yan is also known as both a cool person and creative genius. He’s solidified his reputation as one of the most respected directors in the industry today.
“We need more voices telling stories that matter,” he said. “For me, it’s not just about making movies; it’s about making an impact.”

A video of Burna Boy gifting his ex-girlfriend Stefflon Don a Rolls Royce Cullinan for her birthday has surfaced online amid rumors the Nigerian superstar is dating RB singer Chlöe Bailey.
On Sunday (December 15), footage of the former couple was circulating online, with many claiming Stefflon Don leaked the video herself. The clip appears to have been taken amid Steff’s birthday last year and shows the rapper thanking Burna for the gift. Although the pair split in 2021, they were rumored to have reconciled at some point in 2023.
The “Hurtin’ Me” hitmaker shared footage of the Rolls Royce last year, although she did not reveal who bought it for her.
The video of Stefflon Don and Burna Boy surfacing online coincided with rumors linking the “African Giant” to Chlöe Bailey. The timing sparked suspicion among social media users, with many accusing Stefflon Don of intentionally leaking the video.
“So Stefflon Don actually posted that old video from last year today because Burna Boy flew Chloe Bailey into the country today,” one person shared.
“stefflon don crazy self doesn’t play about burna boy,” another added. “Oh she’s about to act like a pest towards Chloe.”
Meanwhile, a third joked that Chloe better brace herself for an incoming diss track.
“I hope Chloe Bailey know how to rap in Patois, “they teased. “’Cause Steff writing her verse as we speak.”
Bailey arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday and was soon seen hitting the club with Burna Boy. They looked comfortable together, getting cozy at a nightspot in the city.
