Gunna’s Lawyer Denies ‘Snitch’ Label, 6ix9ine & Wack 100 Disagree

Both 6ix9ine and Wack 100 disagree with Gunna‘s lawyer, who is denying the “snitch” label his client is receiving amid his release from prison.

Akademiks shared a DM with Gunna’s lawyer Steven Sadow on Monday (December 19), where Sadow clarifies that the viral video showing the YSL rapper confirming YSL is a gang in his plea deal would not affect Young Thug or anyone else.

“Doesn’t effect anyone but my client,” Sadow said. “Out of court statements at a plea cannot come into evidence against someone else.”

Ak then asked whether Gunna’s statement would be used if he was called to testify, to which Sadow revealed his client would be evoking the Fifth Amendment.

“Yes but he will take the 5th and not testify,” he said.

The DMs come just after 6ix9ine went live with Akademiks, where the “Gummo” rapper insisted Gunna was a snitch for taking what’s called an Alford plea deal.

“Bro the Alford Plea is state for telling, n-gga. You telling, n-gga.”

He also went on to read the terms of Gunna’s deal, where he notes that pleading the 5th is seemingly only okay for self-incrimination if subpoenaed – not for questions regarding others.

“‘If called by any party in this case, you will testify truthfully, but reserve your right to assert your Fifth Amendment privilege against self incrimination,’ 6ix9ine read from the deal. “MEANING you could plead the fifth only if it’s incriminating yourself!”

However, new reports from Rolling Stone claim that Gunna will not be testifying against any of his YSL contemporaries.

“It’s understood that the state is not going to call him as a witness,” a source, who wished to remain anonymous, told the publication. “That’s why the plea agreement is written exactly the way it is because the whole idea was: the state wasn’t going to call him, and they didn’t want the defense to call him either.”

They continued: “If you look at what was said in court, that stops the defense from calling him, but also indicates that he’s never going to testify for the state.” The source said the aim of the plea was “to neutralize him and keep him out of the game.”

Wack 100 is not convinced, however, and has continued his insinuation that Gunna is a snitch. In an Instagram post on Monday, Wack addressed Akademiks’ DMs with Sadow and said that no matter how you frame it, Gunna told.

“@akademiks Stop bro … His statements were clearly on the RECORD … And the whole ‘DEFENSE’ was #YSL IS NOT I REPEAT IS NOT A GANG JUST A RECORD LABEL,” Wack wrote.
“YOU HIM OR THEM CANT REWRITE THE LAWS OF #SNITCHING. CO-OPERATION WITH THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY MAKES U A CO OPERANT WHICH EQUALS #Telling”

For her part, Young Thug’s sister doesn’t think Gunna’s a snitch and has come to his defense on social media.

“Can y’all please stop saying then people write it and this and that? It’s not making anybody better or nothing good,” Thug’s sister Dolly White said. “Nothing that’s going on is helping my brother. So can y’all please stop that. If y’all love Gunna, then y’all give him support. Why the fuck y’all over there y’all tripping. It be the internet for me.”

She went on to explain that she hasn’t posted Gunna on social media because they’ve legally been asked to not have any communications between the two parties.

“No, I haven’t posted him because I was just told that nobody really supposed to have communications with each other right now,” she said. “I don’t want to mess up his shit so why would I go and post him.”
