During a recent interview with Billboard, Gucci Mane discussed his drive to take things to another level when he was released from jail in 2016.

He might be one of the most talented guys I ever signed.’ The pandemic is how I popped off my label. While everybody [else] is going to sit on their money, I’m going to come out and sign artists. That was my whole strategy.”
