Conway The Machine is hard at work on his upcoming new album, and he’s now revealed that it could possibly include a Nas feature.
The Buffalo rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday (November 9) to talk about the potential team up, posting a picture of the two of them standing in front of an illuminated Hennessy sign.
“I’m havin @nas on this album,” Conway wrote. “It was written…”
It’s not clear whether the collaboration has happened yet or if Conway is putting positive thoughts into the atmosphere in the hope that it will happen.
While the pair haven’t officially linked up on a song together, Nas gave Conway The Machine his flowers back in 2020, when the former phoned in to speak to the latter during an appearance on Drink Champs.
While it was unclear what Nas was saying in the Drink Champs clip, he could be seen pointing the finger and nodding his head in approval as he spoke, after which Conway thanked him.
“I’m the one new n-gga that the OGs feel comfortable passing the torch to… ME! Salute king @nas trust me I heard u loud and clear general! s/o my n-gga @therealnoreaga,” Conway wrote in an Instagram caption alongside the exchange.
The link up with Nas comes after Conway also hit the studio with Kanye West and Dr. Dre back in August, which he flexed on Instagram with a photo that was captioned: “Spooky!”
Conway The Machine Plotting New Project With The Alchemist: ‘It’s Gonna Be A Big Year’
As for new music, Nas is gearing up to release Kings Disease III with Hit-Boy, which will drop on Friday (November 11). The Grammy-winning duo unveiled the tape’s tracklist on Wednesday, which clocks in at 17 songs.
As for Conway, he linked up with Big Ghost Ltd. earlier this year for the tape What Has Been Blessed Cannot Be Cursed. He also dropped off his solo effort God Don’t Make Mistakes in February, which features appearances from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, T.I., Beanie Sigel, Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Jill Scott and others.
Unfortunately, Conway won’t be touring his new works anytime soon. The 40-year-old rapper canceled the entirety of his I’ll Tell You Later Tour over the summer, which was supposed to begin on September 6 in Seattle, Washington.
