Detroit, MI – Tenured Michigan rapper Chris Orrick used to be known amongst his fans as Red Pill but these days, he’s applying the “real name, no gimmicks” to his artistry in music.

Today (May 4), he’s back with his new Mello Music Group release, Portraits, which boasts of lyrical contributions from Fashawn and Verbal Kent as well as production from Apollo Brown, Exile, Onra, L’Orange, Nolan the Ninja, among others.

In a 2016 interview with HipHopDX, Orrick spoke on his decision to make unapologetic unfrilled rap music saying, “I don’t really have aspirations to be a star, or at least in the way most people would define ‘stardom.’ I want to be big enough that I can support my family, make my life and my family’s better and easier, but still be able to live my life without the weird shit that comes with excessive fame and wealth.”
